Most underestimated luxury sedan?

I figure many of you think this car is ulgy but guess what? It's not . In pictures it might not look that much for the world but IRL the car looks very special. As much s I have called it ulgy in the passt it does charm me when I spot in on the roads. It looks very handsome and charming like an italian suit. It looks fantastic in dark colour and I think it's a good car to buy for those who think that the 7er and S are too common.

Re: Most underestimated luxury sedan?

Its very nice looking irl.. but then you think about the price.. and you can buy a CLS55/M5 and almost up to S8 /S55 for that price.. it really looses its charm..

Re: Most underestimated luxury sedan?

I really want to like this car - but no matter how much I try, I just don't. The interior is tacky too - nice upholstery by Poltrona Frau - but that's about it as far as I'm concerned - The VW Phaeton has Poltrona Frau upholstery too and it looks much nicer - I'd have a Phaeton over this anyday..

The phaeton over this? Wow you must really hate the car but it can't be that bad, now can it?

This car is very much a straight ahead S8 competitor. They both are large luxury sedan with sporty handling and are both priced at around 90k. It seem to be a good luxury car for the ones that also want's to have seom fun on the country roads.

Re: Most underestimated luxury sedan?

EVO drove this car and it got a better laptime than M5 (however, not tested at the same day).

BTW this place starts to look like playboy mansion.

Re: Most underestimated luxury sedan?

Although I really like this car, and it's design is awesome it has some major flaws such as the stuid flappy gearbox which doesn't work smoothly, and for a luxury car that's not right! The jaguar XJR is a much nicer car IMO, it looks amazing and has great performance, but people seem to not mention it much!

Re: Most underestimated luxury sedan?

Most underestimated? The Quattroporte isn't underestimated; in fact many praise it as a sports car as opposed to a luxury sedan. Heard that its ride isn't very good and there isn't much legroom at the back. It's more of a driver's car and I think it is very desirable. My neighbour has one in black and the engine sound it makes when floored is just epic. The design is also very eye catching, the chrome just accentuates the car's presence. But IMO the interior is very old; some details like the wood and the green-glowing instruments look very 90's to me.

That said, in this segment, I personally would get a S8. I have some issues with the front of the Maserati.

I don't like the looks in the first place so it's hard for me to even liek the car. The front just look way too blunt.

Re: Most underestimated luxury sedan?

I think the front is very reminescent of a Buick, even those portholes on the side is and was a Buick tradition.

I personally think the most underestimated luxury sedan mainly for our Euro members is the LS.

Re: Most underestimated luxury sedan?

Very nice car and it looks great in reallife. Pictures don't do justice.
But in my opinion the Maserati Quattroporte is not an underestimated luxury sedan at all, at least not from where I come from.
The most underestimated luxury sedan would definatly be the Volkswagen Phaeton and the Lexus LS430 and the Honda Legend.

The Quattroporte is gorgeous to say the least. Love this car! The wood and leather choices are mind boggling.
