World premiere for a host of new products

Stuttgart, Feb 15, 2006
"A host of new models from Mercedes-Benz will be making their world debut at the 76th Geneva International Motor Show. They include the exclusive high-performance models CLS 63 AMG and CLK 63 AMG (the latter in Coupé and Cabriolet versions), whose bullish eight-cylinder engines and sophisticated suspension technology make for a gripping driving experience. Also meeting the public for the first time is the newly facelifted SL-Class and its AMG versions, the SL 55 AMG and SL 65 AMG. For the new GL-Class, Geneva will mark not only a European debut but also, for the state-of-the-art GL 320 CDI and GL 420 CDI diesel models, an international premiere"

yeah its a bit alarming.. but maybe they will add them later on..
otherwise Paris will be one hell of a show for MB..

Surely MB wont wait till september to show the CL. I reckon if its not at Geneva it might be at the New York Auto Show in April...

Or when the new MB museum opens in May. Or they could just introduce them without any fanfare, they may do that for the E-Class, but CL is coming in May I say.

Sounds a busy show for MB, is the S65 AMG going to be there?

Its definately going to be a great AMG day out for anyone who is going to the show.

The CL will be out at the start of the world cup in june so it has to debut before that. I dont know which major auto show's come after Geneva...the only one that came to mind was New York in April

They're saving the CL for the new museum opening in May I'm betting. The FL E will just pop up like the CLK did last year.

Yeah, thats what I think. The E class will just come like the CLK facelift.

The CL could well be shown for the new museum...its just that ive never seen a new model being unveiled like that?

Me either but how many times do they open such a facility? It will be a big party for sure.

Nah, I think they'll want a lot of hype and jazz around the F/L E. The car will need as much positive publicity as possible to say, here is the upgraded E with all the problems sorted and a bolder new look.

I don`t think the new CL will be ready in time for Geneva. I read somewhere it will be realeased 6-months after the S-Class. That puts it`s debut sometime in May or June I think.
