To me, it seems as if the MC12 has been forgotten about, it definately hasn't has a big an impact on the supercar gang as the Enzo did, and still does!

the thing with that car is that its more or less a enzo in drag ( and an ugly drag at that).. and it doesent bring much new to the table..

Yes, I guess so, but the Enzo isn't a bad car to be based on!

I just expected it to be in the lime light for a big longer!

Why do you take the Sport GT over the standard Maserati, Merc1? I've seen your dream garage and you stated a Sport GT.

I just like the extra styling features of the Sport GT and the of course the added performance that everyone raves about.

I like the styling extras of the Sport GT too Merc1... But I'd thrash that carbon fibre trim for conventional wood.

My dad is having a dilemma choosing between the standard QP and the Sport GT... Stiffer suspension in sport mode, a deeper exhaust plus a revised gearbox doesn't really justify the huge premium, I think. Any thoughts about this?

Well I haven't drive this fabulous car so I'm limited, but I guess it all boils down to what he wants. The Sport GT I'd imagine has a pretty stiff ride with that wheel/tire combo so how it rides on regular roads would be important because the regular Q might be sporty enough? The revised gearbox might be important too because in auto model I've heard nothing but complaints about Duo Select.

Those seats and dash look superb.

I sat in one of these during a Maserati publicity exposure event... It felt really low-slung, very snug seats and quality materials.

Green is beautiful:












Interior ain't that bad either, but I'll never get a beige dash. It'd be glaring and here in S'pore it will get discoloured because of the heat.

Titanium trim on the other hand, is hideous despite its name:

At one point Audi and Maserati were collaborating, then finances tanked, and Audi wanting to keep it's hands clean, cut their ties. Now imagine what such a joint venture could have done for Maserti interiors??? Especially the Quattroporte , which has an Audi gauge cluster(the one you find in the A8).

I would have preferred to have Maserati still designing their interiors, but perhaps Audi would have a hand in choosing the materials used, which would retain the character of the Italian flair in the interior as well as improving quality at the same time.

Nevertheless, the biggest lost on Maserati's part is losing the chance to adopt the dual-clutch gearbox from Audi.
