Vs LS460 VS. S-CLASS (Autobild)

Vehicle comparisons, matchups, debates, performance battles, and head-to-head discussions.
I don't think anyone understands it lol. I couldn't even understand the english translation.:t-crazy2:

Any German speaker care to provide a summary?

I have no doubt you scrutinized each vehicle intensely for hours before reaching your utterly unbiased conclusion sunnyman. :eusa_liar

They say that Lexus has made a big step from the previous model to this one; that it no longer lags behind German competition except possibly for one thing: driving dynamics.

Thank you Christian, that really was very good of you to do that .....you deserve karma from all of us for that :t-cheers: :t-cheers:

It's hard to put a finger on who's the clear winner now, but for me both cars are equally impressive. I'll take either without question.

Poor Lexus. Doesn't stand a chance against the S class (or A8 or 7).

I don't think there is any interest because the article really isn't a comparison, just a ride and drive of the two cars. The article really doesn't tell us anything beyond giving the specs for both cars. Real comparisions are coming for sure. The video doesn't even show the S-Class and LS together.

No problem. :)

According to the article, only in the handling department does the LS place poorly. ;)

Thanks for the translaton Chris!

I think the LS460 is going to better than some of you guys think! Remember that the IS is a match, if not better than the 3er in some areas!

Which 3 series you mean? The E30?:D j/k

LOL.

Hey, just remember - there's a lot of people in the market for a large car that don't really care about going around corners quickly. The Lexus would suit them just fine. Lexus knew what people want and gave it to them.

BTW, I think the Lexus IS is more of a C-Class competitor than 3-series. The Lexus ads just went overboard with their marketing and obviously if you claim that this "car was designed to be a 3-series killer", people looking for value will be interested.

If the roads had no corners at all or if all potential car owners were 60 years old and above then i 'm sure that Lexus LS would be a worldwide best seller.:D

Now this is going to be as unbias as possible.

The lexus is great value. If money is the main factor when it comes to the purchasing decision then it's a no brainer for the Lexus, but if money is not an issue then IMO it's definitely the S-class. The S class is plain gorgous, has more luxury and gadgets then most people's house and it handles great. The lexus is very good when it comes to luxury but it lacks everything else..such as character and charisma and looks. The lexus is very bland looking. Honestly, the new Camry looks better then the new LS. I'm not saying this as an MB fan or even a german car fan. I'm saying this as unbias as possible.

anyone else agree with my statement?

The lexus is great value. Absolutely

The lexus is very good when it comes to luxury but it lacks everything else..such as character and charisma and looks. The S-Class does handle very nicely. I was quite surprised when I drove it. The old W220 doesn't even compare. The Lexus is elegant, but a little plain and the rear is absolutely horrible (just like the S-Classes) IMO. The interior of the LS is great quality wise, but design wise, it looks like a boring evolution of the old LS.

anyone else agree with my statement?
