Interesting. Which one would you take??

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I think I'd take the Lamborghini at this point. May Enzo forgive me...lol! The Lambo's look is more edgy and cohesive, I've never liked the flares/humps on the Ferrari spyders since the 360 brought them to the table. The F355 Spider looked better than either IMO.

I'd take the Ferrari. I like the sound the engine makes more so than the Gallardo.

That is going to be a spectacular car! There was a time in which there were only 3 convertibles for me, the SL, Fxxx whatever Ferrari of the time and the 911 of that time. Then in 1997 the Jaguar XK joined this elite group. I mean the outgoing XK still looks good 10 years later! Now you have the BMW 6-Series, Lamborgini Gallardo, BMW M3, and CLK to just name my favorites.

as far as cabs go give me the gallardo its better looking as a cab

I really didn't think so until the latest round of comparos in various magazines, they do indeed show the Lambo to be slightly better looking. Its sleeker, less busy than the Ferrari.

Cabs are all about looks and getting attention. The Lambo does that alot better than the Ferrari imo. And i generally like it alot better than the F430.

The Gallardo anyday

The F430 is a much better looking cab than the Callardo spider which isn't as good looking as the murceilago roadster.

I couldn't agree more .....it's far less conspicuous and far more "sensible" - these two are mid-life-crisis cars

All ferrari styling has gone backwards since the 360 so gallardo for me.

May I ask why you choose the Gallardo over the F430 'anyday' ?

For me.. well, I've seen the F430 Spider, but haven't yet seen the Gallardo Spyder, but if the normal Gallardo styling is anything to go by, then I'd have to say Gallardo for sure.
I'm not too fussed about which of these 2 cars has more power or faster acceleration and blah blah blah... they both have more than enough. Brand names? well, I loved both these brands when growing up, especially because of the F40 and the Diablo VT.

In the end, it comes down to styling, both inside and out, and for me, the Gallardo appeals to my likings.

I think an RS8 cab. will do the trick for me...

Gallardo, however an "M" badge might make the car look a little better...

Of the two, Lamborghini is the more exciting to me. Maybe it's the Audi connection, I don't know, but in the same way as I feel Audi is on a roll in all respects at this time, I also feel that Lamborghini has the same powerful lifting force behind it at this time.

It's a really hard choice for me, if you'd had sad coupe, I'd say F430, but cabs a harder choice because the lambo looks so awesome in cab guise, so I'd go for the lambo!

i would get a db9 roadster...but out of these 2 its a tie...the ferrari is somewhat dare i say ugly(not ugly kinda tacky i guess)....the gallardo is gorgeous and its a lambo but its problem is allwheel drive...the db9 is apparently a troll to drive but its the best looking car on the road

Although I have completely no idea what those terms mean, I know what you're trying to say, and I agree with you there Victor.
The Gallardo somehow does make the F430 look a bit mainstream, but I think that's because Ferrari had to 'tone down' the F430 a bit, especially in terms of some of the lines across the car's body.
Had Ferrari given the F430 the same sharp, defining character lines as the 599 GTB, then it would have been able to match the Gallardo's visual appeal.

But for now.. it's still Gallardo for me.

**PS: Does anyone here know what "Gallardo" means ?.. Just curious.

MoterTrend just did a thorough test of these cars. Thay chose the Ferrari
for it`s driving charactistics. Thay liked the build quality of the Lamborghini
better though.

I don`t care for either of these cars in droptop form.

I believe it's a bull chase which happens in the streets somewhere in Italy, read about it in a car magazine and they drove a Gallardo to the event!

Gallardo is a breed of Spanish fighting bull. Almost all of Lamborghini's cars are named after bulls. For example the name Murciélago comes from a bull that survived 24 sword strokes in an 1879 fight at the arena of Cordoba, and fought with such passion and spirit that the matador chose to spare its life, a rare honor. Murciélago also means bat in Spanish.
