| When the M5 was released, fuel consumption was one of the things it was most bashed for... today it is the most efficient in the group.

Actually I have heard the M6 from 0 rpms to the very close to the limit.. but when the car is parked but still running it sounds like a diesel.. but is not only the M6/M5 that sounds like a tractor.. ![]()

| Actually Dasilva isnt completly wrong , at idling it does sound almost like a diesel, like a ticking sound or something. My babybimmer sound the same at idling but once you hit the throttle, the difference is gigantic. But cars are meant to be driven so who cares if it sounds weird when you arent driving, its just a bad excuse for not choosing a M5 But with a easy fix you can make the car sound like this ![]()

| And you can still upgrade with a Meisterschafts exhaust…then it sounds even more evil… ![]() ![]() ![]() Well and to be fair…they all sound absolutely stunning:

| ^ Hahaha All I say is be VERY happy BMW doesn't do Mark II Porsche style!!!! M5 has been the same car for many years now, no need to upgrade it against the much newer RS6 or E63 ![]() ![]() Just for VroomVroom though: Well Done Audi.

| I´m really anxious to see how the new M5 comes out. When I first saw the E60 M5, even when I didn´t like too much the current E60, I thought it was the nicest car I had ever seen, specially because of the front. And the engine was pretty impresive, the very first V10, the very first car on that segment to engage 500 hp. I wonder what is going to happen if the F10 M5 gets a TT V10... |

| ^ Hell will happen. And the M5 will be the first car in segment going over 600 hp, then.

| I wonder what would happen if Audi releases their cars at the same time that the competence. I don´t think there is something to be pround of about the RS6 when it is a car that went on sale almost 5 years later than the M5. |

| The way I see it, BMW does not need to update it. It is still the best in class at what it is supposed to do...

| There is a very big risk for that with all the sharing of platforms and cutting of corners going on right now when manufacturers think they can cheap themselves out of this soon-to-end cricis.

| It's weird, I hate the E60 but love the E60 M5, car just comes together in M5 guise. Sucks for the E63 to finish second to last here, just imagine what AutoBild's comparison will be like when the F10 M5 comes out. BTW, that W212 is SHINY, whoever waxed that thing did a good justice to the car. I still think it finishes second to last in the looks department.... it's also weird that every time I see a E60 next to a W212, it makes the E60 look good to me all of a sudden, even kind of "fresh" in a way. XFR is my personal fav here, and the Audi, albeit a great car obviously, isn't really my style.

| If it turns out that the next M5 turns out to be just like the X6M and they decided to do the same thing with the M3 in a few years, what will you do?
