The BMW for me, of course...

It wins in looks, sporty character, acceleration imo. I really love the FL.

Btw, that Audi leather looks fantastic. Great looking color.

BMW has best exterior looks, best interior looks and best engine.
A clear victory. Bravo
All BMW has to do is tweak the 3er a bit to come out on top in it's segment with newer cars all around it.

*** is up with the nav screen in the Benz in that pic? Is that a joke or something? Looks pretty damn ugly I must say. The A4 interior isn't too hot either in my opinion, but they are all miles above that C5....what a joke is that LMAO

Βest exterior looks? The front bumpers makes it look like it has a mustache.

BTW the interior of the C class looks rather poor. It's made of too many components and the buttons are small.

The design of the interior is definitely pretty interesting. But looking at some of the materials... yikes.

Btw, what are those buttons on the MB between the seats and lower console (to the right of the driver seats)?

We can argue about that all day... but the most scientific part of the test, aka performance... well that's kinda hard to argue against

Being a huge Audi fan, I love the 3-er but would take the Mercedes Much more classy and I hate that combo with that A4

Re: Autobild: BMw 330d vs A4 3.0TDi vs C320 CDi vs Citroen C5

A buddy of mine own Citroen C4, weird car to drive and the middle part on the steering wheel isn't moving, feels strange. the front lights are a copy from BMW 5-series. With all Citroen's the design is special.

Like with all Citroen they are good with building comfortable cars and I don't think C5 is an exception but its not a car I would ever buy.

It's not too bad from the outside at all. Much better than the previous C5, which was one of the ugliest cars from Europe..the interior however...oh my...looks so bad, I don't know where to begin!

Yannis: at least it's original, a word the people at Audi have never heard of.

You are too critic with every car maker except BMW. I like BMW a lot, but nowadays they are not exempt of doing bad things.

I really like the French car here. We don't French cars here in the U.S. anymore, so my quesiton is what are they like? Are they closer to German cars or British cars or somehting different entirely? What do they drive, feel, smell like?

I have only driven C4 and compare to my babybimmer, steering, handling isnt even close. My car has better interior materials too.
The steering wheel, well middle part on the steering wheel isn't moving when you turn left or right.

Strong sides with Citroen is the comfort, comfy seats and good suspension. The realibilty is so so.

This is my limited experience with Citroen

I have to say that my experiences of French cars are strictly limited to a couple of Peugeots (605, 307) and an old Citroen van. As JM said it's probably comfort (and in some cases interior space) that the French are applauded for. That said, the French are responsible for some of the best-handling hot hatches of all time as well, according to car magazines such as Evo. The biggest downfall would be reliability, although they've been making massive improvements in that field too.

I agree with this conclusion. Citroën have a great reputation of making comfortable and steady-at-speed cars. As regards the French cars in general, Peugeot and Renault besides Citroën, these are more like Brittish or Italian cars in terms of feel on the inside.

Renault have a great safety reputation.

The Citroen C5 is indeed a solid competitor here. It's not very sporty from most accounts but where it impresses is in comfort / ride comfort and value. Probably one of the most attractive and technologically advanced cars to come out of France in a long time. I wouldn't mind owning one at all.

This is how the 3 series sedan front should had looked.

I never understood why they didn't change it during the facelift.

C class looks great but the interior is not as good as it could had been.

I'm glad they didn't. The new front on the E90 is fantastic. Looks so good on the streets when you see it.

330d is simply the most-perfect car in the ring! Good on everything for an (economical) compact-luxury car & fast ...!

We have two Renault in the family. My Clio and my father's Laguna, both being our everyday cars. They are very comfortable, but the materials' quality as well as the handling is no where near the Germans or even compared with my S60. I think that they are very good competitors for VW though!

As for reliability, i totally abuse the Clio every day, and still haven't left me...

No, that is what Audi would have done, cut and paste...
