Q5, I like the rear, but the front is boring and the design doesn't really translate well to a small SUV. Though I hate of X3, I think even the X3 looks more interesting than the Q5. |

| Re: MB GLK vs. Audi Q5 vs. BMW X3 Ι voted for Q5 as it looks exactly like how a modern crossover should. Second i would rate the X3 despite not being the best design from BMW cause Mercedes really blew it with the GLK which is a disaster , everytime i see that car i like it less. ![]()

| Re: MB GLK vs. Audi Q5 vs. BMW X3 glk screens "look at me, i need attention" with its angular design. audi is more sutble and the lines flow better. my vote goes to audi as it fits more with me. x3 is too old to be in thie comparison not that i liked it when it was first debuted tho.

| Re: MB GLK vs. Audi Q5 vs. BMW X3 Would I buy or lease any of the selection. No! If I were to win one of the cars, which would I like to win the most. hmmmm Have to go with the Mercedes. The blue one not the beige offroad package equipped example. Interior isn't startling but it would be my choice. The whole segment is a let down by all three german marks. BMW need to step it up a notch with the next generation X3...

| Re: MB GLK vs. Audi Q5 vs. BMW X3 Q5 and GLK look very fresh but I like the Audi better. Oh and by the way....I don't want to insult anybody but I think this segment is pointless.

| Re: MB GLK vs. Audi Q5 vs. BMW X3 OK ... in this pics the X3 can't stand the comparison. The car definitely doesn't look as bad IRL as it does in those press photos. It's definitely not a classic beauty. And not a proper BMW design - lacking proper Hofmeister's kink. IMO the design is still fresh - especially the side panel styling - hood & grille are a bit too weak for my taste (should be more sculptured & expressive). Tail gate design is a bit too messy. But overall design is not as bad as some are pointing out all the time. Yet the car lacks the flair & up-scale look - something GLK & Q5 certainly do posses. Especially inside. So ... GLK, or Q5 then. GLK definitely has more character than Q5, and it is much more expressive. GLK is a design statement, Q5 is just a car with some tacking styling details. So, angular + boxy + overstyled expressive design (GLK) vs a bit generic + smple&elegant + sporty design + generaly understated design with same tacky elements (Q5). Tough choice. But since I prefer more sporty SAVs over the boxy ones I would go with the Q5 - if I had to choose between these 2 cars. Q5 also due to featuring sharp clean creases + convex/concave surfaces (ala flame surfacing - which I am a huge fan of) - GLK styling details are too angular for my taste. Although Q5 looks a bit to round-ish for my taste as well. BMW designs do have the perfect ratio between angularity & roundness. So ... I would definitely prefer to wait for the new X3. ![]() Summary: my vote goes to "none". ![]() |

| Re: MB GLK vs. Audi Q5 vs. BMW X3 The Q5 is too anonymous. In will blend into traffic without looking "new". It will easily be mistaken for the Q7. Sadly these days, if you've seen one Audi then you have seen them all. |

| Re: MB GLK vs. Audi Q5 vs. BMW X3 I voted for the Q5 but now I'd change my vote to "None". If I had to choose I'd take the Q5 but I just can't stand the headlight graphics. The GLK doesn't look attractive at all to me. The interior design is better than in the C-Class, though. X3's interior really shows the age and it should have the Hoffmeister-kink. |

| Re: MB GLK vs. Audi Q5 vs. BMW X3 This is easy. Q5 is cute and rather stylish GLK is rough and rather trendy X3 is NOT having the X-factor, for me it's gone.. I voted for the lill baby from Ingolstadt or KINA Q5 will be a hit here in Norway I am sure of that! Can't wait until we get one to the dealer. Then I'll be one of the first agian in Norway to drive one btw the Tiggu also actually belong in this voting thread as well.. But that is just a Pimped GOLF compared to the 2 new ones. ![]()

| Re: MB GLK vs. Audi Q5 vs. BMW X3 Well if I had to chose between the three I'd choose the Q5 everytime. The GLK is too garish and the X3 is more than long in the tooth. Sure, the Q5 is a little ordinary but at least it will still look fresh after several years and not out of place. This is all just a fantasy though, because if I were in the market for a small crossover my money would be going towards an XC60 Diesel. ![]() |

| Re: MB GLK vs. Audi Q5 vs. BMW X3 GLK for me. I've said it all before in the official GLK threads so I'm not going to belabour my appreciation for this fabulous take on the modern SUV theme. Q5 - jeez... so damn Audi generic. You know, I'm all for this cohesive brand identity across the range for Audi but the Q7 and Q5 are just unimaginative re-interpretations of a design theme suited solely to low-slung road cars. The current design language doesn't transition well to an SUV concept in my opinion. It looks like someone took an A4 Avant, squashed it lengthways, gave it some ride height and a raised driving position. Look Audi, we know you're an honest bunch and really all this is is a soft-roader; but c'mon - did you really have to over emphasize soft? BMW are welcome to the SAV segment - it's all theirs and only theirs... the rest of the sensible population will stick to SUV's. In many respects the Japanese compact SUV's represent far better value than their overpriced German competitors. Yannis' X-Trail is a very sensible buy and a strong competitor in the value proposition stakes. Sure enough, I'd have preferred it if he'd bought a 2009 Forester XT (which has been doing surprisingly well in pre-launch SUV buyer surveys over here!)

I would still take X3 over GLK. The last one is too old fashioned for my taste.

| Re: MB GLK vs. Audi Q5 vs. BMW X3 ^ Just because the GLK is boxy looking doesn't mean that it's old fashioned. I see a thoroughly modern SUV right there...
