I cant' see a single sportscar in the test.

What?! All that testing for the M5 Touring with the "revised suspension geometry" and it gets beaten by a Mercedes Estate?! Where's that pig in the sky?

Did I mention the Mercedes has more cargo room?

Yeah alright, if forced to vote then I'd just go for the maddest, most over-the-top experience and opt for the RS6. Despite the fact that it is probably the most flawed of the line up. 426 kW, 650 Nm... a whole V10 biturbo hung out ahead of the front axle. Thank heavens for quattro to keep all of this insanity in check.

So there, I made my choice. But I'd never buy one.

I think I would have gone for the same car if it was given to me.

The M5 is the obvious drivers choise but then again this category is about as far from what someone with intentions to find an inspiring drivers car would look.

BMW M5 Touring gets my vote, she's just enough ...!

Would definitely go for the Alpina!! Awesome car!!

In that type of cars practicality is everything so my vote goes to E63 and it's a stunner too

i have to vote for the E63 allthough the RS6 probably is better..
but its not good enough.. i dont really love the new RS6..
plus i cant dissapoint a old outgoing merc

Rs6 please! But not in red and with that BORING interior combo I'd have the car in white with powdered gray rims and a cream leather interior

Its the Mercedes E63 wagon for me.

The Mercedes E Class wagon is the best all-round estate wagon on the market now and has been for a while. Nothing beats it for comfort and cargo load ability.

Also the E Class wagon drives extremely well with a heavy cargo load whereas a BMW 5 series wagon turns into a different(worse) car with a heavy load in the back.

I'll take the E-Class followed by the RS6.

Bruce, I'm frustrated!! I thought, you are one of those, who voted for the Alpina. But nevertheless, I can really understand your decision! The AMG is an awesome car. Would be my second choice, after the Alpina…

The E60, even in Alpina guise, is a car which I'm not fond of.

Such an easy choice here. Of course the RS6.
