| MB C-class Avangarde vs CL-class This is a poll about new C-class (version with the big integrated star, Avantagarde) and the new CL. Both without AMG-kit. Yesterday I visit the MB dealer to check out the new C-class, they also had a brand new CL500, first time I see the new CL in person. Both the C and CL were black. I then realized that the CL must be the most overrated Benz on this board. The car was so boring and plain and the rear very weak, for that kind of money I was expecting a mindblowing design but sorry, I didnt feel a thing. Next to the CL they had this black C-class Avantgarde and oh my oh my, the new C-class beats the new CL with several horselengths in terms of look. It was like the C-class were talking to me, saying; "you want me, you want me" and the CL saying; "I'm a big pig but please try to love me". Once again, neither of them were AMG versions or had the AMG kit. But as I said, CL is really overrated car on this board IMHO and the new C-class looks way better. So I'm curious to know if there are more people thinking like me that the C-class looks better than the CL. So keep in mind while voting, do not think AMG, just think on how the look in ordinary disguise.

| Re: MB C-class Avangarde vs CL-class I can't really vote yet because I have yet to see either car in the flesh, but going by pictures, I definately prefer the design of the C class, the CL looks like a big coupe, and doesn't excite me at all, mostly the rear! |

| Re: MB C-class Avangarde vs CL-class without AMG kit the C works better.. the CL need the AMG kit very much imo.. but its still a spanking hot coupe.. so C without AMG kit.. with AMG kit.. there are FEw cars in the world that are hotter than the CL

| Re: MB C-class Avangarde vs CL-class I voted the CL. Without the AMG package it's still a handsome fella.

| Re: MB C-class Avangarde vs CL-class I saw two stock CL550's in Italy, both black. I think the CL looks best in darker colors than lighter colors. That's where the design truly shines in my honest opinion. Even in silver, it's a great looking car, just a tad "boring", but in black, it looks really sleek and sexy and has presence. Voted for the C-Class though, I love the design of that thing.

| Re: MB C-class Avangarde vs CL-class Personally, I think the new C-Class pales in comparsion to the new CL. In fact, I consider the new CL to be one of the best designs to come out in the last five or so years. I view it every bit as a classy GT. The C-class on the otherhand - well, I can't stand that design. Avantgarde, or not. EDIT: I changed The Artist's vote for him. |

| Re: MB C-class Avangarde vs CL-class I feel the same way as James. I have seen the CL several times with and without AMG package. There is no mystery that it looks killer with AMG kit but even without AMG kit I can with great confidence say that it is one of the top 3 best designed cars the latest 5 years. It is pure perfection. The first time I saw it, it was black with white designo interior and without AMG-kit. What a beautiful sight it was, the huge gigantic side windows let so much light into the cabin. The C seem to be a very beautiful car but unfortunately I haven't seen it in real life yet. But if you think the CL is plain and boring than it is clear that you don't have an appreciation for understated beauties like the CL and Azure. It seem like you are the odd one out here, you are the first one to question the beauty of the CL. |

| Re: MB C-class Avangarde vs CL-class Yes, the CL without the AMG kit can look great with the right wheel packages, height, and color. In fact I think I would prefer the CL without the kit unless it was in fact the real deal, obviously. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Edit: Had to include the one. ![]() |

| Re: MB C-class Avangarde vs CL-class just becuase a car gets bigger doesnt mean it automaticly a more beautiful car than a small car. It all depends on how well the car is designed. I dont buy that "masses" think a big car looks better than a small one. Its all up to the design if a big or small cars looks good, size doesnt matter.

| Re: MB C-class Avangarde vs CL-class Coming from a BMW fan - the CL's got to be one of the best designed cars that I have seen. The interior is imaginative and progressive, the exterior awesome ! .. The C pales in comparison in every aspect.. |
