In the US, the 3er comes with 16" for stock 328 and 17" for 335. Add one inch if you have sport package. Those are the wheels you get. I have never seen a test where they put accessory rims that BMW offers.

With or without AMG package, the C-Class Avantgarde looks really great.

Damn some of you guys are true BMW(Bitchers, Moaners and Whiners). I can't believe the AMG-kit debate is still going on. I mean, since when did the AMG-kit become something that's more than just cosmetic? Sure there has been talk about an C-class sports package but that's not even out yet. MB is equipping most their C-class show cars with AMG kit in order to make it appeal to younger people. That's what it is all about.

BMW has M pack , Mercedes the AMG kit and Audi the S -Line package. All three cars can look sportier with those packages so Audi and BMW could had send a S-line A4 and M pack 3 series to be tested but they didn't. Simple as that. We can't blame Mercedes for being smarter.

As for "Bitchers, Moaners and Whiners" those are harsh words. No need to get over the edge Luw.

Then again this is only the first battle. There will be more comparison in the months to come. Somehow I'm starting to get the feeling that AMS is a bit MB biased or are the new MB cars really good?

in a thread in MB section there were two mb guys from UK claiming the AMG kit in UK inlude lowered suspension. So I dont know, that AMG kit seem to be different from country to country

Interesting info. I just looked it up and here is what's stated about the C-Class Sport in UK.

The Sport line gives the C-Class an even more eye-catching look.

Then there is also the stanrad optional AMG-kit which is nothing but cosmetic. The question is if the car Autobild used is a C-class sport or simply a C-classwith a cosmetic AMG-kit.

i drove it today..will be making a new thread..
the AMG packag is cosmetic..the only other diffrence is the 15mm lowerd chassi and the drilled brakes.. ohh and something called parameter steering..
plus an exhust system set to a more sporty tune

but those things hardly gives the car the mechanicall edge to win comparos..
the visuall yes.. cause it looks so damn HOT

I dont understand, is it cosmetic or is it a lowered Chassi, thats sounds like the sportpackage for BMW 3er. And yes it helps to improve the handling.

The C-class sport has a lowered chassi and bigger brakes. But if have choose an C-class elegance you can choose to get an AMG optic kit and that is just visual.

im pretty sure you wont be able to spot the diffrence

the handling will be improved, just like M package for 3er. And question isnt how much it improve, it improves and thats what counts.
