Exactly....I 100% agree with that. Honestly, if I had to choose between the RR Phantom and the Maybach 57S, I'd take the 57S and spend the remaining money on something else, maybe a Range Rover Sport or something.
The Mm 57S is just superb.... especially in that picture in Alex's post in front of that hotel... my gosh, ..sporty, sexy, seductive and smooooooth!!

Just compare the 57S with the other Maybach's (apart from the Exelero) ...it just blows the 57 and 62. That picture also provides a better comparison of the differences between the 57S and 57, especially the front grille.

Please let me win the lottery sometime soon...

That grille really does improve the look of the 57S, it has more of a presence to an otherwise stealthy car. I likethe Arnage T's more old-world luxury feel in terms of interior, and the exterior is classic....but its dated compared to the 57S.

Every little change to this car over the MM 57 has simply added to this car's appeal.
The fresher grille, the little chrome strip in the mouth of the car, the foglamps with chrome-lining, the one-tone body paint, the chrome on the door handle, those superb wheels, the white leather with black trim, and the sleek looking twin-chrome exhausts.

Re: Bentley Arnage T Vs. Bentley Flying Spur Vs. Maybach 57S

Maybe now they'll actually start selling in better numbers!

Now I wonder what the face-lift will bring to the whole Maybach line. If they're smart the grille from the 57S will become standard along with some wheel changes along with some tech from the new S.

Re: Bentley Arnage T Vs. Bentley Flying Spur Vs. Maybach 57S

The cosmetic changes to the Maybach 57S are subtle but they really improve it enormously. The black paint is more glossy than the standard paint finishes and those rims, although not magnificent, are a vast improvement on the standard ones. The black headlights and revised grill all help to really improve it's general appearance.

As I said in another thread a while ago, I prefer it to the new S class. Now I only hope DCX will revise the Maybach's uninspiring interior.

I really want to love the Maybach, but I still have issues with it. The Phantom is perhaps just a little too overstated, so the MM57S is probably what I would choose if I was in the market for one of these types of cars - sadly I'm not.

Oh, I definately think that the black colour is the MAIN reason why this car just looks so awesome. I myself don't like the silver 57S...it just doesn't have that look about it. As Alex coined it's "sporty and seductive"...that is a very true statement of the black MM 57S.
I guess the simple reason why the silver doesn't do it for me is firstly, the chrome lining of the car, around the windows, along the body, the grille, in the front mouth, around the fog lamps, on the door handles and across the rear... when in silver, it does not stand out at all compared to black, where it absolutely looks fitting.
Also, the contrast between the black paint and the red of the rear lights, ...so damn good! With silver, that contrast isn't as strong.

It just isn't the same.... at all. Black MM 57S with that white and black interior trim... damn, just awesome ...and seductive.

Re: Bentley Arnage T Vs. Bentley Flying Spur Vs. Maybach 57S

You guys are all over the place with this new found love for the Maybach 57S...lol. I think the car looks good in silver too, I guess because I've always though a single color looked better on a Maybach than the two-tone themes.

Now I want to see it in white. The extra chrome helps too, IMO.

Well, I'm not speaking for all those who like the 57S. To make it simple, I love the MM 57S in black, with white leather and black trim for the interior. Simple.

Here's a review of the Flying Spur

I think I would still rather own an S8 than any of these.

Re: Bentley Arnage T Vs. Bentley Flying Spur Vs. Maybach 57S

It's amazing Roberto this new Flying Brick of a vehicle is like so popular around here. The Bentley down the street from my job has like 8 of them out in front of the place. I mean he has them in stock like "regular" cars and what not, and guess what the ones he had last week appear to be gone because the group I saw tonight were different colors. I think this thing is a hit.

I'm sorry but the FS has to have the oddest looking side profile I've ever seen for a car.

Re: Bentley Arnage T Vs. Bentley Flying Spur Vs. Maybach 57S

Well you know the Flying Spur is not my favourite car of all time either, but it isn't quite as hideous as Merc1 says it is. I think with better rims and some detail changes, it could look a whole lot better. The small changes made to the MM57 for the MM57S version has restored my faith in the viability of Maybach as a brand, I'm sure they could improve the FS too.

Re: Bentley Arnage T Vs. Bentley Flying Spur Vs. Maybach 57S

I have to agree with Merc1..this thing is hideous..its such a bad looking car it makes me sick.. and the fact that it has the bentely name makes me even more sick.. how can this car be sold under the same roof as the Arnage..its not even worthy..its a damn VW.. and an ugly one to..

PS
VW has released only crappy looking bentelys imo.. the GT and the FS are no good imo..
But the Cab Azure.. damn that car is so nice.. so i still have some faith that they will do the next arnage right.. and i really hope so..

Exactly. The car isn't worth of the Bentley tradition. Rare that I have to disagree with my friend Roberto. This thing is worse looking than the Coupe version. The proportions and exterior detailing are just so locomotive like.

Its an obvious pattern. Mercedesfans hate VAG/Audi and Audifans hate Mercedes. BMW fans hate both Audi and MB.

obvious pattern
