| Re: German Concept Cabrio Battle The Mercedes. It's better proportioned, more glamorous and it would set a new trend of cars we all will be seeing very soon IF Mercedes-Benz put the Ocean Drive in production. |

| Re: German Concept Cabrio Battle you all forget something the Z9, in its entirety is now full fledged production models, every line has been transfered to some model, either 6 or 7, this was not just a concept, it was a spoofed up preview. the ocean drive will most probably remain what it is, and if it is introduced, ti will be just another benz, it doens't have the je ne sasi quoi of the Z9, and it ushers no enw design directions |

| Re: German Concept Cabrio Battle As people have mentioned, you cannot really compare the two. The "Z9" concept is many years old now, was an exercise in a design style, and was subsequently used as a base design/style for the current 6er. The "ocean drive" or whatever it is, is an S-class with the roof ripped off. If the BMW concept was a 7er with a convertible top, you could make a comparison. |

| Re: German Concept Cabrio Battle ... plus all the pictures we have of the Ocean Drive are cheesy-looking computer generated models. Regardless, I think on a purely visual level it is the better looking car out of the two - however, as others have mentioned, the Z9 was heavily influential in the way it heralded BMW's new design direction, so I respect it too .. basically for that alone. |

| Re: German Concept Cabrio Battle I really do not know which to vote for. They both look quite ugly and lacking. But Ill go with the Z9.

| Re: German Concept Cabrio Battle Judging by the results of the poll, I suppose at least 95% of the members in this forum are hardcore BMW fans. Anyone with ANY sense of style, would never, ever, pick the BMW Z9 Concept over the Mercedes Ocean Drive Concept. |

| Re: German Concept Cabrio Battle well i dont really like either so lets put that out there first but i voted for the beemer. The Ocean Drive concept has got to be the ugliest mercedes out there compared to there other models which do look quite nice. It just dosent fit in with any of the design ques from other models. The Z9 just dosent look particularly attractive because well the lights are dated and so is the interior. But that being said i have to say i like the overall shape alot better besides that rear wing thingy which looks horrific. |

| Re: German Concept Cabrio Battle I'll go for the MB, the Z9 looks like a really fugly 6er. The z9 almost looks like the outcome of sex between the 6er and z4.
