LOL.
Altough I don't think it matters (anymore).
When BMW launched the new design + IDrive (almost) the entire automotive press bitchslaped BMW; I was something like a fashion in the automotive press to criticize BMW, and make them loose comparisons because of the design and IDrive, but we all know what happened.
So I'm starting to loose a lot of faith in the automotive press.

Re: German AMS: A8 3.2FSI vs 730i vs S350

When people or car journalists complain there is always a reason. I drive is much too complicated or at least a lot more than it should had been.
Not long ago i wanted to buy a new coordless phone for my home cause the other one broke. I went and bought a Panasonic, what a disaster. Even to get the most usuable functions like see the recent calls i had to press so many buttons and go through so many menus that it was getting on my nerves. The next day i gave it back and bought a Philips instead. The menus were sooooo easy and you could do anything in a few seconds, Makes me wonder who designs these type of complicated operating systems sometimes. Morons perhaps?

Can't remember which one, but like the 3-Series was in a category or more as Car of the Year, but BMW earned it.

BMW 3 series was recently named "Car of the year" in Scotland. Is that what you mean?
