Good point, I agree! I think we tell now where the "arching" profile comes from. All the way down to the drooping deck-lid. It all started with the Maybach, that shape trickled to the S-Class and now has found it`s way to the E-Class in a progressive state.   The biggest problem I see so far are the enormous taillights! Like the W211 model the designers should have left them off the decklid.

I can't work out whether Im just indifferent to it or just hate it...................... I find the exaggerated squat stance of the profile and the strong angular straight roof-lines bothering. |

As I thought, the front looks very good - however the rest of e car is a bit boxy, and I don't like the rear lights. It will be a very good car, however it's a bit too conservative (what's expected from mercedes vs other carmakers), but even too conservative to the current E class. |
