Jag SUV? SUV:s are out. Many manufacturers will either drop them or give them the smallest possible engines in order to keep the fleet-cO2 at an acceptable level. The SUV:s are the evil of the car industry and they will be struck down upon.

Disagree, if that's the case why are Bentley developing one, new Range Rover, new ML, next X5/X6 is on it's way. Maybe just maybe the SUV will end up going the way of the dodo in Europe and the US, but not in the BRIC countries where sales of SUV's are booming. In Europe and the US the future of the SUV has arrived in the latest ML250, I'm sure BMW and Audi will follow Mercedes lead.

In short, it's so easy for TATA> LR-Jaguar to make a Jag Crossover. Platform sharing with the RR Evoque, lengthen the platform and widen the track, offer 4 & 6 Cyl variants and voila!? :barefoot:

No that's the wrong platform for Jaguar to use, any Jag SUV will have to compete with X5, ML, Cayenne & Q7 so it will need to be able to accommodate a V8, a modified Evoque platform will not work due to have a traverse engine. The best platform for Jaguar to use would be whatever JLR come up with to replace the RR Sport/Discovery.
