What is weird here? BMW said many times before X3 is meant also for rich young dynamic drivers who need a spacious car for their outdoor activities (eg. surffing, cycling, boarding, etc). So some ads target such population - with a bit unconvetional ads. Like these ones. 1st one: finally some bendy roads where my X3 feels like best 2nd one: you can drive over raised surfaces with no problem due your X3 has higher ground clearence 3rd one: off-road. go for it, since your X3 has xDrive AWD :t-cheers:
The problem is, these messages do not come across at all when one looks at these ads. Heck, I don't think even 'rich young dynamic drivers' would get them...
Maybe because it's 8:30 am for me and I haven't had my coffee yet... but even with Eni's explanation, I fail to get #2! :t-hands:
In normal situation that traffic sign is positioned on the other side of the pole - directing you to U-turn around the concrete island. In this situation the ad says "You can U-turn even over the concrete island and its high edge - since your X3 has high ground clearence & xDrive." Get it now?
ENI. Your explanation makes it more clear, but at first look its almost like an inside joke, that unless your apart of, its not obvious.
I really do not get it why do you guys find these ads so weird. OK, the 2nd one is a bit though, but the 1st & 3rd one are very clear. 1. Finally no limits ("No limtis" sign) + curvy road ahead signalizing X3 is capable of driving thight curves without any limits - like eg. other SUVs. 2. You can U-turn here. X3 can do it since it is small & nimble + having enough groun clearence. 3. Go for it - go nowhere ("Cul-de-sac" sign), go off-roading: X3 is capable of doing it. I guess you guys are not the targeted population ...
It is a good idea to use traffic signs, and also after Eni's explaination it works for me. BUT, such an ad needs to be clever and easy to get without having to talk about it at a car forum...
Why eg. I had no problems understanding the ads despite seeing it here for the first time, while some others did?
Hmm, i have an answer to that. You work for BMW so you can't say bad words for them since they pay you. If you do you will be of course fired. The rest of us don't have any problems with our beliefs so we are free to express them j/k of course And like we say here, "you don't sh!t where you eat!" :t-cheers:
^yep eni dont take in personally.. you always tend to explain every situtation wich regards BMW.. more than often you bring us new info..and understanding.. but sometimes ( and they are few) your explenations just dont make things better
Oh, then please remind BMW AG to pay me my salary ASAP. I haven't recieved one cent till now. This making me thier slave.
