M3 what ? That car is amazing!!!! Will it be offered in the Volvo range or it's a one off show car as the C30 Polestar ?
The XC60 with similar headlights was released one year prior to the W212's release, so no ripoff here.. I really hope this thing is going to production.
W212 headlights are a ripoff of the XC60, you mean? As for the car itself...it's a concept that will never go into any form of production, so they could have given it 800 hp and I would still not care. Volvo is utterly incapable of making a production version of this at reasonable cost. And if they could, everybody would still buy an M3 or C63, because no person is going to spend that much $$ on a Volvo. Levi, I don't know what point you're trying to make with this thread, but it appears you delibarately left out some parts that say 'concept' and 'no production version planned'
Mega. A V60 version would be even better. Stop stirring shit, Klier. The press release states that production is certainly possible. And who cares if Levi didn't explicitly state that it was a concept? Christ.
Well, maybe its a concept, but it is production ready so to say. Polestar is not a tuner or something like that Well, maybe its a concept, but it is production ready so to say. Production is a question of demand, just like any other BMW never built (M1, Z8, Z4 M,...). Polestar is not a tuner, but the equivalent of AMG, M, Quattro, Nismo, Gazoo, Mugen and such, they build Volvo race cars. What is the problem with such a car ? Should every body be buying BMW and Mercedes. Funny you never add Audi to that list. I posted this just as info. Anything wrong with that ? I guess you feel bad because this "concept" has a 3.0l I6 making 500 PS (166 PS/l) while the M3 is going to get a 3.3l V6 making 450 PS (136 PS/l). I am going to reassure you the S60 Polestar has no chance against the 150 kg lighter M3 powered by a 3.0l I6 making 500 PS with a tune.
I am impressed, but visually I still prefer the first gen S60. That said, it would be very nice to see this one offered from the Volvo dealerships!
Volvo is one of only a handful of brands that would get me out of something German and this is one sexy super saloon.
Ok, ATM we can forget it. 300.000 $ pricetag, one already sold in the US. In this case an LFA can be considered cheap. http://www.themotorreport.com.au/54412/volvo-s60-polestar-pc-380kw-and-us300000-price-tag
They both came out as MY2010's so it's pretty difficult to say the headlamps are a W212 ripoff. This Polestar S60 is a bit of a beast, I hope Volvo grow a pair and produce it or a version of it, Volvo needs a halo car. In a world were everyone buys a C63, M3, RS4 is a pretty dull word, I'd take this S60 over any of the others, I wouldn't even care if it ultimately wasn't as good, it'd be pretty close and where I live ultimate performance doesn't count for anything, plus it's not going to be shamed on the autobahn either, as I do get to drive in Germany on occasion.
Which one is faster, Polestar S60 or Volvo powered tractor? http://wot.motortrend.com/volvo-pow...m-in-new-video-find-292665.html#axzz2Cav2mfkm
