3.0tdi twin-turbo! With the restyled A6, will make its debut the new 3.0tdi bluetec twin-turbo: 2 turbos with variable geometry system(So is different from the system adopted on 335/535d). 295 ps, 2250bar of pressure.:icondrool Unfortunally will be available only with new tiptronic. P.S. the V8 4.2tdi arrives to 350ps soon. From an italian safe source.:t-cheers:
Re: 3.0tdi twin-turbo! isn't the 35d from BMW also a sequential twin turbo with variable geometry? or is it just sequential?
Re: 3.0tdi twin-turbo! Hmm... with tiptronic? I guess just like with BMW 35d, the torque is too much for a manual? A shame... but DSG would be an excellent fit! What are the chances of Audi putting this engine in smaller cars like A4 and A5?
Re: 3.0tdi twin-turbo! Correct. Variable twin turbo diesel engines (35d, 23d) feature two sequential turbines of different sizes yet of fixed geometry. While the single turbo diesel engines (20d, 30d ) feature a single turbine with a variable geometry. :t-cheers:
Re: 3.0tdi twin-turbo! What about the twin turbo 2.0TDI? I thought this was further ahead before a twin turbo 3.0TDI. 2.0TTDI was mentioned in the Q5 concept
Re: 3.0tdi twin-turbo! Well, the 2.0tdi with 204ps is certenly going to arrive. The problem is when...? I hope in the next 18 months.
Re: 3.0tdi twin-turbo! The diesel war is really heating up between the three big germans awesome engine
Any more news on audis new upcoming diesel engine the 2.0TDI? Will it have 200hp or 210hp? Also rumours of the 1.8TFSI having 200hp, which means the 2.0TFSI will get a power boost also in its weakest form. 220hp or more like 240hp?
Re: VAG's 1.8TFSI, 2.0TFSI & 2.0TDI New engines.... 2.0 lt TDI -> 204 PS 2.0 lt TFSI -> 280 PS 2.5 lt I5 TFSI -> 320 PS/450 Nm Also for the A1... 1.2 TFSI, 105 PS/175 Nm Existing engines that stay the same... 1.4 TFSI, 125 PS/200 Nm 1.8 TFSI, 160 PS/250 Nm 2.0 TFSI, 211 PS/350 Nm
Re: VAG's 1.8TFSI, 2.0TFSI & 2.0TDI wow, 2.0 280 PS TFSI and 2.5 lt 5 cyl TFSI sound great... hopefully they trickle throughout the lineup soon. I'd love either one of these in an A5, especially the inline 5. That's almost S5 power with a significantly lighter and more economical engine. When are they due for introduction?
Re: VAG's 1.8TFSI, 2.0TFSI & 2.0TDI Will there be a 3.0 TFSI powering the new S4 or is the 2.5L one scheduled to do the honor?
Re: VAG's 1.8TFSI, 2.0TFSI & 2.0TDI All those engines will be great, but only with AWD configuration. Hell no to any of them in FWD cars, they'll be simply too powerful for them. Btw, Yannis, does 2.0 TDi remain a single turbo or it's getting two of them, just like current MB & BMW engines? :t-cheers:
Re: VAG's 1.8TFSI, 2.0TFSI & 2.0TDI Is this engine going to be used in any other VAG model, the new Ibiza or next gen Polo for example?
Re: VAG's 1.8TFSI, 2.0TFSI & 2.0TDI That 2.5l TFSI is gonna demolish the S5 unless it gets a new TT engine!
Re: VAG's 1.8TFSI, 2.0TFSI & 2.0TDI I really hope TDi is twin turbo and I think it will have to be to keep it efficient and economical. I heard that this was going to debut in the Q5 and then TT so I don't know. Also heard Audi slogan of 'most powerful diesel per litre in the world!' Not heard any real info apart from rumours though. BMW and MB have already put their cards on the table but knowing Audi they will up the game. However am I right in saying that TDI engine was developed in collaboration with MB in conjunction with add blue technology so power will be similar to MB 2.0 diesel engine
Re: VAG's 1.8TFSI, 2.0TFSI & 2.0TDI Will the 1.8 be getting quattro??? Because previous 1.8t's have had quattro and the quattro 1.8t's arw a lot better than the FWD Because maybe I a couple of years I might invest one a 1.8t (quattro) A4 cab or a 1.8 A5 and I'd prefer quattro and I'm a lot of other people do aswell
