Yap you are right about the Brabus convertion.
I love the idea of owning a V12 W221 with 800PS but I guess after some time it will melt even the bonnet :D

I was trying to keep it to U.S. cars only, but you're right. I think I like the SL73 version of the R129 than anything Brabus had done. I'll post an update later.

Well here's to changed and evolved tastes. Mind you, having looked through my last post in this thread, I still have great affection for all of the vehicles I previously choose. Still love them all, but I guess I would necessarily want to own the same group anymore.

As with before, I like to try and limit myself to what I think I would actually want and drive. Marcus' list is just a little too much for me. :D ;)

    2012 Ford Focus Titanuim Hatchback
    (Orange w/black interior)

Perfect for that nice little stroll around town. A grocery get-er I suppose.

    2012 Nissan GTR Track Pack
    (Dark Blue w/black interior)

A comfortable, yet track aggressive machine capable of wonders. One of the ultimate showcases in Japanese technology.

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us

    2002 Pagani Zonda C12S 7.3
    (Steel grey w/beige interior)

Because this has been my ultimate supercar. This is the yahoo of the list.

    2012 Dodge Challenger SRT-8
(5 Speed automatic, dark blue w/hood stripe w/red interior)

Some nice cruising in my muscle car.

    2012 Toyota GT86
(6 speed manual - burnt orange w/black interior)

An idea similar to that of the Focus. Nice little couple of cruise around in.

    2012 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG
    (Black w/black interior)

    The professional dude.

    2012 Porsche Cayenne Turbo
    (black w/black interior)

Something a little ridiculous... I'm not too much of an offroader anyhow.

    1997 Porsche 911 993 Turbo
    (Arena Red w/beige interior)

One of my very first car loves. Such a classic.

And lastly, for a little Britania

    2007 TVR Sagaris
    (metallic orange w/black interior)

I hate that people have forgotten about TVR. Bankrupt? Yes. Unreliable? Apparently. The devil on wheels? Yes. But awesome in every respect.

First time I perused the whole thread. Nice to see the LFA getting some love. Now, I figure it's time to amend my list. Not too many changes because, by my estimation, it's pretty perfect and/or epic (;)) as it was. Enjoy my delusional desires; changes are in bold font.....

    Classics
BMW 3.0 CSL ....distillation of a sporty BMW. Light, precise, and full of character.
1969 Dodge Charger 440....if the BMW is a scalpel, this is the blunt object. True hairy-chested muscle car glory.
    Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing....really, no explanation needed
Ferrari 250 GTO or 250 LM....again, no explanation needed.
Ferrari F40....THE greatest Ferrari made. I still have memories of the 3 exhausts spitting out flames and thinking that is just fricking cool. Inside and out, it exudes brutality, as if its singular mission is putting all others in complete submission.
Singer-restored Porsche 911....ever since I saw Robert Redford drive a 1969 dump-truck green 911 in the movie Spy Games (an under-rated movie, if you ask me), it looked so effortlessly cool yet mechanical. I'd want something with a little more grunt, and the Singer restoration brings in some carbon-fiber into the refurbishment.
Acura NSX...reading Insideline's log on owning a used NSX has shown me how wonderful this car is. How I long for the days Honda would trickle that kind of engineering thoughtfulness through out the rest of their cars
BMW M3 E30....light, chuckable, and rev-happy 4 banger. This car started a movement.
Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.6 EVO....if the E30 M3 is included, it's only right to include this. Did not know much about this until recently, but it looks good and is Ayrton Senna-approved. Plaid seats, please.
Audi Quattro...rally legend. Made the word "quattro" synonymous with traction, especially those that don't speak Italian.

    Modern sportscar/supercar
Lexus LFA....just thinking about that V10 makes me smile. Its precise but there's this sinister-ness about its style. Lots of modern tech without being distracting or overbearing. Very Japanese and very much its own car. My absolute favorite of modern cars right now.
Ferrari 599GTO...the sound and the handling.
    OR
Ferrari F12berlinetta....I love the sound of the GTO, but the performance and proportion are hard to ignore. I think the GTO gets an edge, because based on reviews, the steering of the F12 is bit more jittery whereas the GTO's is more natural.
Porsche 911 GT3....While I love the GT3RS 4.0, and would absolutely covet that if that was my only sportscar in my fantastical stable, it might get too jarring after a while. A GT3 would be a good compromise.
A-M DBS....if it's wrong to feel like James Bond every now and then, I don't want to be right. Plus it looks and sounds glorious.
Porsche 981 Boxster.... A relaxed convertible for those canyon-carving days.
McLaren F1....a legend created by a legend (Gordon Murray). Or a mad genius. Gold-lined engine bay, anyone?
Pagani Zonda 760....brutal, feral, and just plain nuts. Looks like a proper hypercar and utterly umcompromised. If you are having problems growing chest hair, this car will take of that in virtually no time at all. (I think that should be part of Pagani marketing, "For those that desire to grow chest hair, we present...the Zonda.")

    Everyday car
    To drive...
BMW M550d (F11)...Everyday practicality with efficient grunt.
Subaru BRZ....Fun car to drive, either it's going to start something big in terms of other cars following suit, or it'll be a rare bird. Either way, there's this principled honesty about this car that I have loads of respect.
BMW M3 E46...i'll be honest, I was on the fence about this one, because for everyday driving I'd want something efficient and with character. But high-revving inline-6 goodness is too difficult to ignore. I guess this could fall under the Classic Car category, and given the way things are looking having a high-revving NA I-6 engine might as well make it an instant classic.

    To be driven....
M-B S550.....really, what more do you need? I'm not out to get attention, and this blends right in. Long-wheelbase, of course.

    Off-road
LR Defender with a trusty diesel engine....Don't care for speed but would like to traverse anywhere if the need arised
Mercedes-Benz G-wagen...the go-anywhere-ability of a Defender that's actually reliable. Diesel, of course. AMG hyper-engines just don't make that much sense to me in the G-wagen.

oooh. Now that I've had more than a few days to catch up (and re-introduce myself) with some of the newer vehicles on the market I would certainly looking at changing my list entirely.
