A cars exterior styling is one of the most important factors in tempting someone to purchase it, but the interior design and quality is what really matters. Here are some of my favouries. (In no Paticular order...) Rolls-Royce Phantom Bentley Mulsanne ^^ Though obviously not with that dubious colour scheme Audi A8 Audi A6 W212 Mercedes-Benz S-Class F01 BMW 7 Series 991 Porsche 911 Volvo S60 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Bugatti Veyron BMW Z4 And finally the Mercedes-Benz SL
I`m really not convinced of the Bugatti Veyron interior design. It just doesn`t come across as a million dollar piece imo, too plain. The Bentley Mulsanne`s interior is so rich and beautiful. The only thing I don`t like is the roller coaster speedo dial directions. Both have a heavy VAG influence.
Bentley Mulsanne so amazing interior! Audi A8 A6 Allroad Audi S7 Tesla S Continental GT Spyker C8 Aileron
Great thread. I personally love the LFA's interior and Pagani's interiors, both Zonda and Huayra, are just magical.
I'm far less intense about interior than I am exterior. Therefore there are WAY too many nice interiors for me to even think of listing. So many have their own charms in their own ways.
^ I agree, and this will turn into a mass posting/cheering session for everyone's favorite brand. I can't think of too many European luxury cars that don't have great or at least decent interiors. M
I sat in some cars today and had some thoughts: The W221's interior is very nice, very austere-logistical M-B with a touch of dash and ultimate maturity. However, I think I like the interior of the E a bit more. It has more character, more of a classic throwback yet at the same time "thicker" and more modern. It has larger wood, and especially with the black/almond combo, more elegant stitching on the door inserts. Also it doesn't have that unsightly HUGE compartment smack dab in the middle of the center stack giving it this kind of geriatric "old Lincoln" vibe. Maybe the more compact proportions of the E give it a more tight "sport" vibe to mix in with the M-B Sedan mature/stately/logical vibe. I sat in a Quattroporte as well. Very nice leather, but crap everything else. Fit and finish was horrible, and ALL the plastics get EXTREMELY gummy/sticky like Ferrari's do. It felt absolutely horrible to touch those things. It's like the Italians have no desire to have a lasting value on their cars. The interior also felt like it's already dated in quite a few ways. The C216 CL: Despite horrid headroom for taller drivers up front for such a large car, this is what an interior on a grandiose M-B Coupe should be like. Sense of occasion, elegant, solid, the doors sound incredibly assuring and staunch when you close and open them, etc. IMO it's M-B's best interior. Though, I do like wood, so it would have been perfect with the Sedan-style wood mixed in (think a mix of CLS meets CL and you'd have the ultimate M-B interior.
