Spotted this beauty this morning on the way to school. Owner came out and asked what I was doing. He made me promise to wipe out the license plates if I posted these shots on the Internet.
Munich appears to be a paradise for Audi enthusiasts. Great shot of the new A6, Christian. And you are correct in saying that one has to see the car IRL in order to appreciate what Audi designers have accomplished. Keep up the excellent photo work, mate
An interesting photograph of the new Jaguar XJ directly in front of the Opel Insignia OPC. It may be said that the cars look like they are manufactured by the same company, the Jag appearing somewhat Opelish and vice versa. I don't think that this is necessarily what Jaguar wanted to achieve. Perhaps the directors at Opel are thinking: "This XJ would be quite fitting as a revived Opel Diplomat !" One can speculate that this may be one of the reasons that the XJ does not appear to have captured the hearts of potential customers in its' market segment here in Germany. The XJ remains a very rare sighting and most cars that I have seen have MTK registration plates, indicating that they are cars from the German importers' pool.
What a glorious friggin' Thread!! Cawimmer and all who have shared photo's, know that your work has made for a very happy boy. BTW, I can further understand why some of you from the EU have a slightly different perspective on the E-Class from what we do here, as every other picture has a plethora of E Taxi's! Totally crazy for me to see.
One of my all-times favorite cars, Lp640!! After all those years, still looks gorgeous. Didn't like the rims though!
The all new Infiniti Qx56. This truck looks great in person & its huge! P.S; That $70K truck is owned by a teen chick! You can see her in the pics, pumping gas! Fml. :bonk:
Anytime. :t-cheers: It's good advertising for the E-Class and Mercedes. Taxi duty is a pretty tough job for any car and the fact that a lot of these E-Classes, even W210s, are holding up so well is a testimony to their build quality. :t-cheers:
Agreed! I was just thinking that as well. What a testament to 1: Design (needs a lasting and timeless look), and 2: Build quality. Here's something I saw recently. Crappy Cell phone pic of a Pininfarina desgined Cadillac from the 60's, called the "Jacqueline" (Kennedy). Apparently this is a one-off, and was a Concept that was sitting in either GM's or Pininfarina's storage (can't remember), finally they decided to sell it relatively recently, and it ended up at this particular Dealer, on sale for something like half a million, or a million dollars, or something crazy like that.
