"458 is the only in the top ten with hyper-tyres": Really? :eusa_thin Porsche gt3 and gt2 = Michelin pilot SPORT CUP LP670-4 and LP570-4 = Pirelli p zero corsa (Also Scuderia and gallardo SuperL) Ferrari 458 (Michelin Pilot Sport) has worst tires (on the trak); only carrera gt has similar tires. Maybe 458 with pilot sport cup could be as fast as like carrera gt: 2:42.60
Infact, but also gt2, tested by "AUTO" was faster than other gt2 tested by other mags. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
AutoZeitung managed 10,8 seconds with the GT2. MotorTrend's time (published in AutoBild Sportscars) was 10,9 s. 'Auto' recorded a 11,6 s @ 207 km/h quarter mile time. It means 0-200 km/h in around 10,9 seconds.
It' s true, but for example: (911 gt2) AMS : 0-180= 9,9 //// 0-200= 11,5 EVO : 0-195=11,7 Quattroruote:0-200=12,04
Infact, there are many different results; on sportauto supertest gt2 did 0-200 11,5 s and 11,1 s at Papenburg; for AMS i was referring to this test: http://img149.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=18996_Scan020009_123_1065lo.JPG but, (about test of "AUTO"), 0-1000m 20,59 s 268,7 km/h is unbelievable for me; MotorTrend's time (published in AutoBild Sportscars) was 10,9 s., YES, (really fast) and 0-250 18,7s, BUT for AUTO gt2 did 0-268,7 km/h in 20,59 s !!! (0-300 36 s for motortrend) Carrera gt tested by AUTO did 0-1000m in 19,42 s !!! My point of view is that AUTO times are always really fast, often faster than those detected by other mags. Sorry for my bad english.
So did I. It says 11,5 s 0-200 km/h. Auto is the most "german" italian magazine in terms of performance-results, if you know what I mean. For example in their latest hot-hatch comparo they managed nearly exactly the same numbers as Sport Auto did (acceleration and in-gear times as well). "Unbelievable" examples are everywhere. Every magazine has its finest moment: Sport Auto's 3,1 s with a Turbo PDK AMS's 3,9 s time with an SL65 AMG Sport Auto's 10,2 s 0-200 km/h time with a Carrera GT ... or Auto with it's GT2-1-km-time. These times are mostly unrepeatable times. :t-cheers:
ciao...You know...Auto had always faster times compared to others. I own a GT3 MkII and Auto made 3,8 sec from 0 to 100 km/h. It was the only one Magazine to get this time as I know. Most are over 4sec for the same test... So...
8,4 s 0-180 (and 10,2 s 0-200) for carrera gt is a very good time but carrera gt tested by AUTO ("queen of Balocco") did 7,59 s 0-180, that is another incredible time, isn't? http://img28.imageshack.us/img28/8771/29092010113.jpg 911 turbo tested by AUTO (480 cv) did 9,66 s 0-180, 911 turbo tested by sportauto did 10,4 s http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/6462/19122010131.jpg http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/3326/immaginearn.jpg :t-cheers:
auto does 0-207 11.6s with a bad start... (3.92) and 1 KM 20.59 with an impressive exit speed 269 kph... don't forget the GT2'd have "just" 530ps...
other unbelievables are: CGT Auto: 100 kph 3.57s, 200kph 9.25s, 1 KM 19.42s @ 284 Kph :eek2: 599 AMuS and Quattroruote: 0-200 10.3s and 1 KM 20.1s Ford GT AMuS 0-300: 34s SL600 C&D: 0-60 3.6s:t-rot: LP640 Quattroruote: 0-200 10.2s
That particular example was somewhat faster than the others. As far as I know, it was Porsche Italy car or a customer car rumoured to be tuned to 580hp. It was later tested by Automobilismo and did 0-100km/h in 3,6s and 0-200km/h in 10,4s. Way off all the other results of 997 GT2 - first german tests were in 11,5s range, british tests in 12,0s range, last german test with a well broken-in car was 10,8s in AZ. Same applies for the Carrera GT test in Auto. Slightly tuned customer car. Otherwise, Auto results seems reliable to me. They usually have quick launches, but acceleration above 100km/h is similar to other mags.
