Well, I'm about to purchase an M3 actually. But it's an E30 version, hope that counts for you

I never said it was uneventful only that compared to a Carrera S it is, not the same thing. Drive an M3 as you would round the town or on a motorway run and it feels little difference to any other 3 series for the things I mentioned and it only becomes unique when you really start to push it, compared to a Carrera even driving it normally is an event again for the reasons I mentioned.

Maybe it's time to stop discussing the merits of the Carrera and M3 on a thread that was meant for the M5. :t-cheers:

Well in my opinion it's the greatest of all M3s so the answer is yes.

Is there any info explaining the differences between the old M-diff and this new one because it's clear to me that the improvement in traction is vast.

And that's a perfect reason to post the Sport Auto-scans here as well!
