AutoBild Sportscars - Porsche Panamera Turbo vs. Panamera Turbo S

    • Acceleration: Sport Plus mode, PSM Off, Launch Control. The S is 1,3 seconds quicker up to 200 km/h (12,5 and 13,8 s).
    • Flexibility: No big improvement, low-end torque has to be the same in both models.
    • Sachsenring: Both cars managed fantastic times, the Turbo is faster in the cornering sectors, because the S is a bit more oversteered because of its wider rear wheels (11,5" instead of 11").
    Verdict:
"They are fascinating. Brutally fast as well. (...) There is no faster saloon on this planet than the Turbo and Turbo S. The Turbo is an allrounder thrill, while the S gives an extra kick on the straightline. However, it's not worth the five-digit extra price."

Thanks! Cant wait for the scans! Funny how Sport Auto allways gets the slowest times... First time the M5 beat the PTTS to 200...

Next month they will publish a M5 vs. E63 AMG PP & Panamera Turbo S head-to-head comparison. ;)

Oh man, thats what everyine has been waiting for.

Just a question as couldnt find the M5 results anywhere..

Was it 4,1 0-100, 12,4 0-200 and 1:12,9, because you say in your post one tenth quicker than PTTS (1:12,3), but that would be 6 tenths...

You are right, it's 1.12,9 min, my bad. And yes, performance figures are 4,1 s and 12,4 s.

Thanks again. Still cant understand why the 100-200 times of the ptts is so poor 9,2s, usually its in the low 8s and it usually beats the M5 -200. Well cant wait fot the next issue when they are tested on the same day ;)

    Thanks for the scans again!

Sport Auto times are not comparable with AutoZeitung-times for instance. SA always posts 4-run/2-way average times.
