Z4 M is coming. It will nearly for sure not get the M3's V8, but will get an different version of 1M engine. The Z4 M may replace the Z4 sDrive35is and the Z4 sDrive35i may get the new N55 instead of the N54, so as the Z4 sDrive28i and sDrive23i will get the new FI I4 N20 instead of the NA I6 N52. Not sure if there will be a Z4 Coupé, but there will be available a lightweight fixed top, like in the racecar Z4 GT3, the same thing as there was on the SLK 55 AMG BS and SL 65 AMG BS.
And you doubt it based on what??? You gut feeling???? Doesn't mean anything brother! I very much hope a real Z4 M is coming, with or without turbo tech, I don't care. I do care about a proper Z4 coupe though!!
Yeah, had it been 4WD and some kind of SUV, sure thing! But a sportscar? Naa... probably not, doesn't fit the current image
Z4 Roadster is too heavy anyway. Better make Z4M with a fixed roof. Better for the weight, better for the agility.
And nicer too. Given that both first and second gen Z4s have the same line son the side profile, I tend to prefer the side view of the Z4 Coupe than the E89 Z4.
