Even when it looks good, Who cares about the looks? Have you read that? 707 hp and 3 litres per 100 km, JUST SIIIIIIICK, SICK!! SICK!!!

And after watching Sayyaaf's vid, it's safe to say I love the looks too. Damn

Do we have a new Carrera GT? God, I'm so excited :D

I thought Porsche was supposed to turn out as a vulgar carrier of used and reused Vag Tech ? :D

I see a lot of Boxster RS, Carrera GT and Tesla Roadster. (y)

I think what I'm most happy about is the way this has the potential to advance the porsche design language. Porsche has been massaging the same shape for quite a few years now.

Looked like a weird CGT at first. But don't worry, I love it already.....

In my opinion by far the best Porsche I have ever seen and the best implementation of the Hybrid technology.

Simply stunning surprise............Stuttgart has gone hybrid crazy and this is the crown Jewel. Wow.

Amazing looks and amazing tech, Porsche has now signalled their clear intent to be the leading performance orientated sports car manufacturer.

I am impressed with what Audi are doing with e-tron and BMW with the efficient dynamics concept, this on the other has come from out of the blue and taken Porsche stratospheric in the world of hybrid/electric cars.

where did this thing come from??! no spy pics, no leaked info or pictures and very little rumors.
talk about keeping a concept secret.
    Bring it now!

I was close to commenting on them but didn't as you guys would think I'm on LSD for picturing cameras making production anytime soon

They do look very cool though, but would in reality be snapped into two like tree branches. :D

So do I, and it's puzzling because car manufacturers never make explicit reference to recently discounted car. It's the first time I see a former super having it's designed carried over to a proposal for a successor.

............but who the hell cares, the Carrera GT is still hot as liquid nitrogen cooled to −196 °C, and the 918 Concept belongs on the sub-zero wall!

    Ferrari 599GTB Hybrid what? :D

Just now seeing this.....wow. It looks like a melted Carrera GT. The proportions and stance are sick. Just like when the showed the Carrera GT back in 2000, this has come out of nowhere. Just when you doubt Porsche (new Cayenne), they snap off with something like this. This is their next supercar, bank on it.

Porsche are on a roll: Boxster spyder, Cayenne Mk.II, Panamera Turbo, GT3 Mk.II -- you name it.

Interestingly, the engine in the Carrera GT derived from Le Mans and like we have all heard it's exhauste note is second to the yawn of God.

With an absurd 147hp/l the 918 is powered by an engine unimaginably close to the characteristics of an F1 engine. Ferrari's F10 formula 1 car has a 2.4L V8 while the 918's displacement is just 1L more at 3.4L. I can't wait to hear the engine being put to the test around the ring.

It really is quite a piece of work.

Yes I remember the opening scene in "Fracture" with Anthony Hopkins driving the Carrera GT across the airfield. Best engine sound I think I've ever heard.
