Grrrr. Great way to rain on my parade, Porsche! Ever since I was a Porsche obsessed little kid. I never loved the Carrera (relatively speaking).... simply because of the Turbo. This isn't even a performance fetish as much as it is the looks, the vibe, the presence, the all around "cool factor". The Carrera always looked good until the Turbo came along and showed you just how brilliant that classy canvas look of a 911 could be, thus in my eyes usually rendering the regular Carrera as too plain looking once your eyes have acclimated to the "just right" amount of spice that the Turbo has to offer. The necessary side scoops, the bigger wing, the aggressive air dam and aggressively vented rear bumpers, it's all "just right" on a 911 to me.
Per local Porsche dealer, the turbo 911 is due out January 14th, 2013. I'm just guessing by that date it will debut at the Detroit auto show. The AWD model of the Carrera and Carrera S will debut this fall before the Turbo. M
Any insight on the exact timeframe when Carrera 4 models will be released? I've paitently awaiting the release of the 4S, but Since the Turbo is due shortly I think I'd be better to hold off a bit longer.
