Drivers-Republic: 997 GT3 MkII 1st Drive This video needs to be watched. The car sounds like a dream and drives like it's was crafted by God. I want it more than any other sports car in the world. :eusa_clap 997 GT3 Gen 2 first drive
It sounds very mean and if it does 100-200 km/h faster than a 997 Turbo in NA form that is very impressive for 435 bhp. This car is going to give cars with some 100 bhp more a fair run for their money. I would really love to see how it holds up against the more powerful and expensive rivals of F430S & LP560-4. :t-cheers:
Given how divine the exhaust note is and how perfectly balanced the car is, the 5 seconds the GT-R might have on it around the ring are irrelevant. The GTR doesn't have this purist race breed character. Neither does the V-Spec want me to have this car any less. The Scuderia is looks to be the only car on the market that can rival this car in passion. Rear wheel drive, ample engine power and slick design - it doesn't get much better than those two.
Well since you put the GT3 and Scuderia in the same class. I can't help but think of another racing pure bread that is just very hardcore much the same as these two! :t-drive: The Viper ACR!
I agree with GTR not offering as pure experience as GT3, but most magazines have also rubbished the much missued notion that driving the GTR is like 'playing playstation'. Also it is third cheaper than GT3 here in the US ($80k vs $120k), so I don't think many people are cross shoping the 2 either.
That there is more of a monster like the GT2 for those that crave maximum power. The Scuderia and GT3 are more renowned for their perfect balance and poise rather than sheer power, other cars with similar formula is the GTI and E46 M3.
