Imo, that guy is surprised, how a (Bmw-kind-of-performance) car like R8 came from a brand like Audi! R8 is N.O.T a super-car... not even near! It is a great performance coupe & does her job good! :t-cheers:
Really? Tell that to the 386 kW, 530 Nm R8 V10 that does 0-100 in 3.9 secs and over 300 km/h... Pretty supercar-like if you ask me... In fact, don't ask me, ask Mercedes Benz' engineers who are benchmarking their latest SLS supercar against the R8.
Carrera GT is a supercar. Pagani Zonda too. SLR. Ferrari Enzo. Maserati MC12. McLaren F1. Veyron. Aston Martin One-77 Then we have sportscars like 599, LP640/670, 458 Italia, 911 GT2, SL65 BS. [*]And then R8 V10, Skyline, 911 Turbo (mark I only really), SLS, GT3/RS, Gallardo, etc Then BMW M3, R8 V8, Carrera S, ....

R8 V10 0-100 time means not much in 2009 imo. Not a hard time to achieve anymore like it was in the '90s. If that makes it as super car than the 911 Turbo's 3.4 seconds 0-100 km/h makes it what? An exotic? And 911 Turbo is not even a supercar :t-cheers: A new 911 Turbo (sportscar in our list) is about as fast as an Enzo (exotic in our list) in 0-100 times. So pretty meaningless, because an Enzo kills a 911 Turbo in everything else....
hahahaha this is soooooooooooooo funny!! Ironically, if you look at it, nowadays Audi actually posses the more sportier image in comparison to BMW.
^^ IMO: S4>335 RS6>M5 Q5>X3 RS4 might not be as good as the M3 but it was an excellent alternative R8> * just my opinion of course.
Ha ha ha...that is funny. Reminds me of the rolls or bentley with the hyudai thingy, I can't remember exactly but I think it was posted AGES ago by HOH.
...and the way I see it: M3>S4 335i>A4 3.2 (this because the oposite view is also possible.) M5>RS6 (RS6 faster, M5 the more sporty) Q5 and X3, what the f***, these cars have nothing at all to do with sporty behaviour. R8, BMW has no chance at all, all it can throw in is the BMW and that is about half the price.
I threw it in to make my list longer The only criticism I have for this R8 owner is that he flopped up with the badge :t-banghea should have been 840xi :t-roses:
