According to Autocar, M5 M Performance gets a powerboost from 552bhp to 560bhp. Along with a performance upgrade which boosts power from 552bhp to 560bhp, the M5 features additional equipment worth £22,075. Highlights include 20-inch M Double-spoke Matt Black alloys, M Sport multi-functioning seats, internet, BMW Professional 12-loudspeaker system and also a ‘One of 30’ laser cut into the interior trim.
That's clearly an error on their part and probably caused by the misunderstanding of the difference between bhp and hp. I would guess they've seen "560" written down and not realised it's hp. 552bhp = 560hp.
Still not a fan of matte paint jobs, but I do prefer Frozen grey. I snapped these a few months ago at the Calgary auto show.
Its a stealth color and some people dont want a car that gets attention. This M5 is beautiful, clean and elegant. I would be happy with this color but my favorite is Monte Carlo Blue.
I agree. Matte black doesn't suit the car, but frozen gray absolutely does. Alternatively the matte black one should feature black rims.
I think it's more a case that some colours rather than cars just don't suit the matt treatment. In the case of black this M5 looks like a D.I.Y. garage shed paint job instead of an extremely expensive professional one.
Matt Black on that M5 looks terrible. Looks like the undercoat before they've sprayed it with the final colour.
I agree. It makes the car look old and dull as well, like a Primer coat. Just lacks proper sharpness. Matte black is a tricky thing. It looks "okay" in a "stay away from me/aggressive" sense on some designs, but for elegant and rounder/smoother designs like the F10, it just doesn't suit I don't think.
Here is a full set of photo's of the brand new F10 M5 color-Sakhir Orange with M Carbon Ceramic Brakes. I'm not a big sedan kind of guy....but I could get use to this car. Seeing the front brake rotor's and calipers on the M Carbon Ceramic Brakes in person....I'm blown away. Massive brakes.I just wish they could fix the rear brakes...single piston sliding caliper just does not cut it against the comp in this segment. I know 70% of braking force is generated from the front....but on aesthetics alone...the rear brakes need a fix. I wonder if the delay of the M Carbon Ceramic Brakes is for a redesign for the rear caliper?? Some shots appear to be the same....the sun disappeared for a minute and I tried to get some shots in the shade . Thanks. PalBay
