Information is limited at the moment, but Range Rover is currently having a media event celebrating 40 years of Range Rover. That's reason enough to showcase a new model, the new compact model of the Range Rover lineup called Evoque. Stay tuned for more. Best regards, south
It looks great and I am glad they have kept to the original concept. Only one problem and that is marketing , they seem to have associated it with someone who is completely or possibly more vain as is her partner whose stock must have vastly plummetted whithin the last week or so. (Deutschland über alles) Victoria Beckham she will go out and make sure attention is not with the car but on her. Audi fall into the same trap , they associate themselves with celebrities who use the exposure for themselves. I always veto requests by the "staff" for celebrity requests. But in some markets Germany and of course probably still the USA despise this couple with passion, could that be a problem? Perhaps she should associate herself with some food markets , that is extremely unhealthy to look at.
I'm not sure it'd ever be on my short list for a personal vehicle, but I like it and commend Land Rover for staying faithful to the concept with the production version. It looks like ride height has increased, but aside from the enlarged side-view mirrors and addition of door handles it's pretty remarkable how close it looks to the concept version based on these few shots.
These are going to sell like ipads with integrated camera's,multitasking and flash support - all built in!
Production ready concept I shall say. Some details will certainly be smudged out a bit. But the shape will be kept though.
Wow....they're really going to produce that. They're going to sell like no RR before. Why pimp the RR name though, why not just Land Rover Evoque? Range Rover Evoque...using the RR name to the fullest...lol! M
Stunning, love the floating roof and wrap-around effect of the DLO courtesy of those blackened A-pillars. The side glasshouse is very shallow, contributing to what surely will be a cosy (or claustrophobic - depending on your point of view) interior. Looks to be very small - pretty much a mini-SUV. But no denying it, it's a very pretty design. Looking forward to more info and pics...
When it becomes available, will it spend hours upon hours in service than in the garage? Will RR finally get that part of their vehicles in order? Too afraid too look too much into this for fear of disappointment in that department--
According to the article, estimated price will be about 35,000 euros; it will be the cheapest RR(?) in the lineup. But it's a two door "SUV coupe". Which housewife will pull this off? Victoria must have overlooked this painstaking detail. Here is a woman with three children who shall become the face for an "SUV coupe" with two doors? Also, nowhere on this vehicle does it actually say Range Rover. I think they should keep it at Land Rover. I'm just curious to see its interior. The housewife who falls for this...a two door "SUV" marketed as a Range Rover when it says "Land Rover"... If there is something BMW got right, it was making sure NOT to stick two doors on their "SUV coupe". I cannot wait to see sales for this, and even more, who is buying. I already think the majority may be women, so I shall get my boxing gloves ready. Knocking some sense will not hurt. I guess it will be just like that iPhone 4 vs HTC video in the iPhone thread..."I want an Evoque. I Don't Care." Someone should make a new video for this .
A 2WD Land Rover, and a Range Rover at that? That's just plain wrong. And once again I find myself wondering what you guys get so excited about. I actually find this car uninteresting to look at - it's a bit like a fashion item that is in vogue one day and old news the next. I'd rather have a Defender.
