I've got this feeling that the Panamera is gonna look much better in person than it does in photos.:t-cheers:
Better than I initially thought but still falls a bit short of being nice to the eyes. The design breaks no new grounds. But I suppose the idea of a 4-door Porsche is already groundbreaking enough.
There is something odd about a sedan with a coupe profile, sportscar front and hatchback rear end... I have a feeling they made the decision to have "Porsche" written in words on the back so people will actually know it is a Porsche... the 911/Boxter silhouette are so ubiquitous with Porsche, I have a feeling if it didn't have the words, most people looking at this rear would have little idea of its make.
I think it`s way too bulky than it needs to be. The overall design has a lot of sharp contrasts that clash quit badly and don`t suit a car of this stature. To me it`s not a seccessful design. Front. Side (profile). Rear. Score? C- I like the Lamborghini Concept far better. I think Lambo would do a better job with the production verion than Porche has. By light years in fact.
The roof line fattens up as you get towards the rear. Not as graceful a transition as it could have been. I'm sure there's the chance it will look better in person than in pictures. I must say though I have more a problem with this car than I've ever had with the Cayenne, and that's from an aesthetic point of view.
Pretty wicked, and different looking.... Looks like a car you just lean back and drive slow in... Gangster almost... lol
Front is beautiful, the rest terrible. It's a mess from the A pillar on The side view in particular is bad looking.
I love the front end, it is stuning..I'm still not too sure about back/profile but it will look a lot better IRL..
I can't help it,i have nothing but negative words for this car, seriously the side and rear are just unacceptable:eusa_doh:
This belongs here. I guess it makes a huge difference with the right set of shoes. Courtesy to Julius of course.
^That's exactly what i need to do seriously..lol I'd take a CLS63 over this ANYDAY. ^P.S. that is super heavy and bulky profile, hate it
It's probably one of those designs that you have to see in person before you can truly comment on it. :eusa_thin When the Porsche Cayenne came out, I thought it was butt ugly. But when I saw it in person, my opinion of it changed. It still wasn't as sexy looking as other SUVs, but it was much better than the press photos made it look.
The 2+2 four door coupe thing really has gone too far. Thanks a lot Mercedes! I don't care how good this car drives it looks like a mutation of other Porsches. So sad...

I prefer the tail light design of the green CG I've posted a few times. I like the new Porsche logo on the rear. I'm very disappointed by the much promising front end. The head lights look more fussy than those neat ones on the CGT. Other than that I'm very pleased by what I see. This is a very large car, in fact it's wider than an S-class so it's something that needs to be seen in real life to be fully appreciated. Secondly like the Cayenne it doesn't seem to be a very photogenic car. The Cayenne is not a beauty in images but in real life the Cayenne Turbo looks absolutely superb and I think that it applies to the Panamera as well. As much as I am a Porsche fan I have to say that Porsche could very easily have done a better job. It's by no means a beauty queen but neither it is ugly. But I reserve my full opinion until I've seen more images, most importantly real life ones cause those seen now are too processed. Now bring on the specs and ring lap times which should be very interesting as Porsche has claimed that performance is close to the 911. For know I'm confident that the car will be very striking in person and will gradually grow on everyone though there will still be people who despise it like with the Cayenne. Do I want one more than any other four door car?? Hell F**ING yeah!!
