In that trim, is the screen permanently upright, or does it retract? If it's permanently there, that would get annoying for me very quickly. I take it folks in Sweden aren't as bashful?

At first I found this car to be fully but seeing it on the road, especially with S-line trim, I am convinced that this is the most exciting A6 we've ever seen. It totally looks dynamic as the 5-Series.
Me too. I think I like it even more than the 5 Series, though I can't deny the F10 still has better proportions and a more elegant rear. I like the Audi's new LED lighting technology. More advanced than any other car manufacturer though Mercedes is catching up.
I've seen some angles and lightings that made the car look nice and regal, but mostly, I see it and it looks incredibly passive and dull, even with that overwrought front end. I think it's a good design, no doubt, but not something that I'd buy as a passion-car.
:t-cheers: And these mistakes are not to be found in either the 5er nor E-class ^ See my photo's on page 24 of this thread.
^Whilst going to see the new 3 and spent some time re-familiarising myself with the 5, I honestly can't see how you think the 5 series is different in this respect to the A6? I see cost cutting in both interiors but in both cases it's the plastics where you seldom touch with anything other than knees, the only bit than disappoints on the A6 was centre consule but that again is an area you seldom touch with anything other than your elbow. I'm sure if I looked about on both the 3 and 5 I could find plenty to complain about but I'm the type that don't let such things bother me as long as the driving experience is up to scratch.
Those are great seats. The popup display brings the Audi's interior down several notches to me, though, especially in the styling and fit and finish department (it just looks so "unwell fit" up there to me). I also don't like how the A6's door panels look very basic and non-luxurious compared to the E and 5, who have elegant stitching abound in the door areas, while the A6 has all flat surfaces, without stitching to be found.
All that I see is one having a need for stitching due to its shape and the other not needed stitching for the very same reason. In no way do I look at either the A6, 5 or E as being superior to each other in this respect.
One of my neighbours had a 2010 A6 3.2 Quattro and now I see a brand new A6 3.0T in white on his driveway... My God that car is freaking amazig. What a monster. It has got those full LEDs so when it came up behind me the other day, it looked like something out of this world. Damn... I'm a little jealous, although I know my Q5 feels better in this part of the world
