Nice design, but looks a bit boring. For me, the E is still the winner :) Interior looks very good though, very nice.

Rear quarter stolen from the Jetta, which was stolen from the A4! Overall very nice, and glad to see change up in headlight shape.

Appears to be very handsome-no more, no less. An exercise in continuity, expressing the design language implemented with the C6 A6 and proportionally "adjusted" with the introduction of the MLB configuration as seen on the A5 and current A4. Very evolutionary devoid of risk. It will surely appeal to the targeted demographic.

Look it's a handsome car for sure - the front overhang is kept commendably short, the wheelbase lends an air of exclusivity, the silhouette is fittingly elegant and the wheel to metal ratio is great...

...but, I can't help feeling that it's an incredibly safe design from Audi. Verging on dull. That's all... just dull. Lovely interior of course but saying that about an Audi is like saying that Katy Perry has a nice rack. It's painfully obvious.

Edit: I see that Jimmy has already pretty much said what I was feeling.

Wow. A quickie from me cause Im in a hurry.

    I LOVE the front.
I do not like the back lights...at all. They look to.. "corny".
    Loving the interior.
The side profile...hhhmmm.. Looks like the old one.

All an all, I like it!

Definitely the best-looking Audi sedan right now, after a very boring A4 and an depressive and disappointing A8, this hit the sweet spot in terms of proportions and overall design.

The front overhang is nicely reduced.

However, it's still the same design as all others and is too similar to the previous one, almost looks like an FL. And not a particularly daring one.

Interior's nice, but I really don't like those standing screens breaking the whole architecture of the dash.

Overall, very nice but very safe. Much better than what i expected given the A8, but not something I really long after. The superb A7 seems to be here for that!!

    Meh....

All their cars look the same. I don't care how crafty the cabin is, the exterior design is A8 and A4, so to me A4, A6 and A8 all look the same. I am sick and tired of being disappointed by their bland products..

As I said before, it's an A7 in saloon form, the interior is a basic carbon copy of the A7 which in my mind is a really good thing because it's the best interior design and the most adventurous of the big three. But like all Audis it takes the big rims to look great, where as with a Merc the 18" don't take anything away from it's overall appearance, so in my opinion you need to factor that in to the purchase when considering one of these. Also look towards the level of standard kit of the A7 to gauge how it will size up against the competition because it will be similar.

    P.S.
I think most here are favourable about it's design and appearance from these few photos, more so that the reaction of the A7 and just think how much people's opinion changed with it after seen in the fresh. (y)

Same here, nice but predictable and dull, nice front, a so so rear and well proportionned profile , interior is nice but again central console is my main concern, it was so much well exectued in the A7 concept but here all the fluidity is gone, and the screen isn't helping either. I think it look hotter in darker colors.

    Ahh again audi?
    Really??
Same car diffrent size theme still holding?

But it is the best proportioned and elegant of them all ( sedans )
Has some of the old A8 over it.. in terms of elegance..
But its still super dull..and the interior is just the same formula..as exterior..:(

6 years of this.. ?? ( it will look ancient in 2017) as it looks old right now..!!!

In terms of exterior design, the new C7 A6 appears to be far closer to the current A4 than the current A8. Not necessarily a bad thing, as the A4s' design is really quite cohesive albeit a bit unadventurous. The proportions of the side profile are spot on. I've never gotten that impression with the A8, which I actually like from the firewall back. It's just from the firewall forwards with which I have a problem liking the A8. I've tried, but I simply cannot stomach that stubby looking, excessive front overhang laden appearance.

The interior on the new A6 appears awfully close to that of the A7. Maybe a bit more differentiation would have been warranted here.

    Why?

As a family man I would have loved the A7 to come with 5 seats, whether Audi board will ever give in to this idea is debateable but at least the A6 holds a lot of the design flare that's present in the A7 to please those that want an A7 but can't have one and that includes it's elegant interior and stunning looking lights.

I think Audi have hit it spot on here. Something they didn't do with the looks of the A8.

    Point taken, Footie.

But, as the A7 is intended to be positioned above the A6, I feel that the cars' interior should evoke that sensation of bespoken ambience. Much like M-B has differentiated the interior of the CLS from that of the E-Class. I feel that M-B has done a better job here.
But I am sure that Quattro GmbH will accomodate A7 customers desiring pleated Bentley leather and other such frivolous things accordingly.

    A 2-minute chop of the RS6 C7. Looks a bit aftermarket-ish, but I can't say I don't like it.

Very impressive looking car. Not feeling the rear, but everything else is big thumbs up. Well done Audi. It's actually not as boring as I thought it would be. Amazing.
