I just mean that my cars buyout will be $38K (barring they don't negotiate off of that). Chances are, if I want to stay with an E-Class when my Lease is up, I'm gonna buy my own (otherwise as much as I love the car, will push myself to experience something else as I've already had two chances (two W212's) to actually purchase out my E's. Therefore I'll probably have to pay a nice markup to keep my own car, which is where the decision lies. I would prefer to pay one on my own car rather than get a Used one (someone else's) for cheaper. The best bet would be in this case, if I wanted to do that, is go to a Dealer and let them purchase it, CPO it, and negotiate a deal with them right away and take it back instantly. .... Or, just sell it to Gian.
My car is very flattered by your nice comments guys! It will have to stay within the "family", all my hard work can't go to waste, i.e a Used Car bargain shopper who will ransack it to hell! It deserves better! Vince: Thank you, and as for which drives the best, IMO the Sedan due to it being on a longer wheelbase and larger platform. The Coupe/Cabs drive closer to C-Class nimbleness and are definitely sportier/tighter feeling than the Sedan. The Sedan retains the authentic "E-Class" ride of more luxury and comfort, yet still controlled and firm to levels. The Sedan has that more purposeful drive, IMO.
I have some thoughts here about the 5-speed 2011 E250 CGI, if anyone's interested: Why smoothness isn’t all goodness | perfectsteer To be completely honest, the E didn't live up to expectations. I thought that even the near-base model should at least be very good, but the gearbox and turbo engine combination is truly appalling!
Chopard edition? Rolex edition? Either way, looks good. E class is getting better over time I find, like a great red wine Aaah, see now...Zenith edition apparently
Oh wow what a class car i agree klier evertytime you look its better...I am getting simalar feeling with my M class..
There is no doubt: the E-Class meets the very highest of standards – in every respect. With a keen eye for detail, the designers have turned every switch, every piece of trim and every instrument into an individual thing of beauty. The E-Class. Ahead of its time. The ML I haven't quite seen enough, only glimpses on the road so far. Looks very modern and good from what I've seen though. And I just adore the new GL (63 AMG)
Holy crap! Taking out of account the POS subhuman driver who hopefully gets put away for good, all those Youtube comments that are saying how great of an ad this is for the E-Class and its tank-like durability are pretty funny. The part where he was going so full speed into another car and braked so fast (miraculously WITHOUT hitting the car) that the HELICOPTER/CAMERAS couldn't keep up with catching that braking power, was seriously an incredible showing of the E's stopping power.
How the hell does one pick up such speed and still steer like that with only 1 front wheel doing the work? I've said it years ago and I'll say it again, the E is the most durable car Mercedes makes when it comes police pursuits and accidentally knocking things down. M
Absolutely. The beauty of the "E" is I think it's expected to be M-B's most durable car in many ways, as it's pretty much like the middle brother of the brand, expected to house many of the different virtues of all the other M-B cars in one. Some C virtues, some S, some sporty, some utilitarian, etc. etc.
This car's design is impeccable. Internet advertisements are no longer bothersome, as long as they are showing the E-Class.
When I was younger I fantasized about a cop chase in a nice Merc. Luckily living in Europe now you can pretty much do any speed you want on an autobahn , so it's no longer necessary.
^ When I was younger?...no way, I can't stop doing that even today But I prefer a chase in an old Benz, like this beautiful one on my avatar...only smell of gasoline and burning tires, without these electronic shts today
