Does it come with a CVT gearbox?

Nice LED strip.. A bit S classish;)

Looking at the exhaust setup, it appears to be the N55 535i as base engine. So not the 218 hp version Scott claims.

LED strip needs some getting used to, but it's not bad overall. The metal bar in the bumper looks good, I hope that it stays.

Nothing much to spin, other than it looking better thanon either the A6 or E class.

BTW, there's already another thread about this car. Maybe we should merge them?

^^^^^^^^^ And there you have it, spin #1 and counting.

I don't know what you're talking about. Better looking doesn't mean it's pretty. It's better looking than on every E other than the E63, that's what I said. Don't start to twist my words.
It's simply way better looking than that floating-in-the-middle L shape LED in the E-class bumper. If you disagree, you're the one who's spinning.

Engine info is wrong, and electric info is wrong. And this post is not from 2007 or something, but from max two months ago.
It's ok, but it proves he doesn't know half as much as he is thinks. Critical info like this coming from Scott is usually dead wrong.

And yet it goes on, spin, confuse, sping. Rinse.

Now that BMW has leds they're of course better looking. Predictable.

Awaiting the master spin any moment now..............

Have BMW called it unnecessary somewhere? :t-hands:

It would be weird since the 2008 7-Series ActiveHybrid Concept also had LED strips but they were vertical (more like fog lights than DRLs):

^Are you all going to merge the threads or what?

    ^Lol...Pure Comedy!

Yep these will be the greatest revolutionary strips ever..
    you just wait and see..
Someone will let us know why pretty soon:)

LOL, the MB fanboys in full force! HoH, Merc1 and Artist! Mighty impressive.....all for one and one for all I see, that's the spirit for sure! Troll another forum next time guys.

BMW is beating the E class with Hybrid tech when the E is already a year old. That's what's really happening here. But feel free to keep on complaining about the lights. I see it's important to you guys; MB designs a car that completely looks like everything but an MB, so reaction has to follow. We're all little kids after all. Hehehehe

Aftermarket LED rearlights, really? :D ;)

    :D

Looks like that are foglights, so it would be quite a bit easier to avoid showing off when driving in a downtown. ;)

    Best regards,

Maybe I will be more impressed when we see MPG and performance data but for now, pretty boring stuff.

I hope BMW has a lot more exciting plans for Geneva.

Yep, exactly. Can't wait for that post.

As usual, the other one is confused. Amazing that the E is being beaten by hybrid tech when one has shown a concept and the other has already announced that they have a similar hybrid coming. Yet neither is on the street yet. God forbid that this is the same tech that they both developed together.

You're right, the article is offline now. They were the only ones with that story, neither followed one of the other online-magazines nor is there something on press.bmw.com, looks like a leak to me...

Someone better host those pics, they'll be offline soon :t-hands:

Well there's nothing much to see to begin with. A regular 5er with ugly rims, hybrid tech, a fancy color and Audi LED lights.

Now if this were the M1, they would've been on my HDD long ago already, just to be sure...
  17. shonguiz Well-Known Member

Boring stuff, no one cares, just gives us the M1.

Honestly, Who cares this fornt bumper design? It will never be a production bumper, so... I find it more relevant the fact that this seems to be another car that the one expected, at least for me. I was expecting a diesel engine paired with an electric unit, as SCOTT appointed. and perhaps this is no longer the case.

This forum is getting totally predictable, boring & childish. :eusa_thin

Now I understand Rob & others who lost interest in this place.

I'm losing my as well. :t-hands: And that explains my reduced activity here lately.

Same old members "debating" about same old topics. No matter if on topic or off topic. :sleep1zh:

^ EnI, as long as you live on this earth the BMW and Mercedes battle will continue.

Not even prayer will stop it.
