That's a common misnomer. A poor man dreaming of a 911 would more likely opt for a debadged Audi TT 2.0T S-Line.

What the 981 needs is the 400-430 PS 3.8l H6. But committee won't allow, just as committee didn't want any other engine in the E82M.
Not exactly a fair comparison, the 911 was PDK and the Boxster was manual, the difference would have been even more negligible if they both had the same type of transmission. And to think base 911 cab is $32k more than a Boxster S and the Boxster probably handles better too... I bet our resident value cops are crying bloody murder.
