"Looks like a sportsmachine, sounds like a sportsmachine." WTF are you talking about? All BMW officials must be under serious drugs. Sure you never tried an Audi R8, a 911, an SLS or a Ferrari to know what a sportsmachine is really like. Even a Miata is more of a sportsmachine than any car of your line-up. Diesel M? HTF can Porsche and Mercedes yet build NA gazoline engines (911 and SLK AMG)?
The idea of a tri-turbo X6 is very appealing. Sticking an M badge on it and trying to claim it's a "sports machine" is completely ridiculous and an insult to the intelligence of anybody remotely interested in cars.
C'mon guys ... Be happy M-diesel is finally coming (initially) in the form of M50d. It's much much less M-brand-whoring than any M-Sport-package ... Eg. on 116i. :t-banghea With all the undeserved M-badges included - at least on wheels, steering wheel, door sills, gear stick etc And then imagine M-badges (of M-Sports-Package) on FWD 1er & sub-1er models. Ouch! M50d is a monster. In any car. Much more of an M car than any other car with M-Sports-package - incl. 50i
Yeah right, including the new N63 TÜ? No, that's 445 hp......Valvetronic, much higher revving... Who was on drugs again?
Sorry if I did not express myself well. A possible Z2, that would rival an MX-5 is more of a sportsmachine than ANY X6 however powerful it is.
In the 5er it is a hell of a car. If this is successful and I have no doubts. Then you will see Rival Powered Diesels from the competition.
I have no doubt we'll see an M340xd and an M125xd. I would have nothing against this... M = NA + RWD Md = FI + AWD ...but it won't ever happen.
Exclusive First and Only Known Pic's-X6 M 50d It took a circuitous route to get posted....but here are the only known shots of the new X6 M 50d. The Power Dome Hood is starting to grow on me as a branding element for something other than the M3. LeMans X5 the mod over at Xoutpost.com did a frame by frame breakdown of the two BMW teaser vids.I've attached a couple of his stills. The wheels in the still match up very close to the wheels on the X6 I shot. One still appears to have missed the blurring of the Power Dome altogether. After reviewing the stills at Xoutpost...no doubt we got our man. Here is the writeup from bmwblog.Exclusive Spy Shots: BMW X6 M50d Thanks. PalBay
