The Future is here! Well done BMW AG May your new venture into the unknown be a successful one. :fireks2: Hello! Those i8 performance figures looks very promising!:eusa_clap
^ Stunning tech! Extraordinary performance and LOW fuel consumption. Well done:t-cheers: I will have none of the above, thank you. i6 or V8 TwinPower Turbo for me thanks!!!
Neither??? Sorry to say, but they look horrible. i3 in particular. HORRIBLE. Hope the real cars will be better than these crappy CGIs i8 has a crazy ugly side profile. WTF were they thinking.
Nice to see we're on the same page Klier, the tech looks promising for the intended use and BMW's contribution to sustainable motoring. The i8's performance figures looks promising. Means nothing to me... I just hope what this means for me and you is that these two cars under the new sub-brand brings down BMW AG's fleet emission standards so we can get a REAL super/halo car ASAP! :t-cheers:
now it would be interesting to know what will visually translate into the production car or are these as much a production car as the M5 Concept ?
Hmm, yeah, I see it now. The i8 is ok-ish (not overly nice looking, with weird profile), and the i3 is just horrible looking. LOL. Wish they still were CGIs in fact.
Ugly pointless cars! Failure! Future is fugly! I want the 70s back! Gas guzzling V10 & V8s! Yeah, baby!
^ Or just a more normal design for the i3 and i8?? But i3 in particular? hmmmm i8 is sporty, that saves it. But the i3 looks like that little house I wait in until the bus arrives.....
What's normal futuristic? Futuristic is by definition abnormal by today's norms & standards. The "funny" shapes / proportions of the cars are a consequence of "form follows function" principles: since the cars are shaped to produce best aerodynamic drag coefficient possible - while still being functional for people & cargo, featuring lowest center of gravity possible, 50:50 weight distribution, meeting all the required safety standards etc.
Nah... 21st century i6, V8 and V12 TwinPower turbo engines - coupled with BMW's now famous Efficient Dynamics will do just fine. Keep the i - project going and hopefully successful so we can have a REAL super/halo car (V12 TT preferably) whilst BMW AG keeps to their EU Fleet Emission standards. ALL HAPPY!:t-cheers:
The i8 has incredible figures, but shouldn't they be lighter? I mean They're not fat or anything, but I wouldn't exactly call them lite.
