Much prefer the Audi A5 Sportsback S Line - quite a mouthful - my favourite Audi. It isn't completely without charm, even looking good in that dark grey/brown exterior colour. Still, not my favourite and I'm not the world's biggest Audi fan.

It´s a nice attempt by Audi, by it´s not my type of car. I´m following the discussion in other board too, and after seeing the real life pics, they are saying it´s the same design as always, it´s just another version of the A4... And so on.

    Engines aren´t particulary special.

That's a pretty hot front end though. Right now it's between Audi and Mercedes in who's making the nicest German front ends IMO.

It's continuous (the front) with the rest of the Audi line of course, and familiar, but there are some small nuances that show it's not an A4, etc. Although I'm sure some people could never tell a difference, lol.

That guy looks so comfortable. :D

Really? I think the console is very un-Audi like: a plastic mess.

Seriously! And people here who claim to know about cars dare to call the A7 a 5er GT rival :eusa_doh::eusa_doh::eusa_doh:
Look how extremely cramped and uncomfortable it appears to be in the back. Sure, the guy is sort of fat, but still....

Well,at least A7 interior isn´t carbon copy of any Audi current model so far :).

    ^'Oćeš po pički, Šabane? ;) :D

Definitely A7's interior looks different from other Audi models (y), but utter nonsense is to say that BMW's interiors are carbon copy of each other...:t-banghea

I know a good oculist, want me to provide a cell phone nr.? :D

The video has done it for me. I think the new A7 looks fantastic! Great job by Audi IMO! A7 will be my next car! Exterior especially the front looks brilliant. Audi have raised their game with the interior too looks great! I would have this over the 5GT any day. Merc is good too. BMW in trouble if you ask me. I don't know why anyone would take the Beemer over the A7 or Merc.

Or could it be an A5 S line? Maybe it's a future rendering of an A8 facelift?
Audi design BORES me to pieces. They really need to get their house in order..

The configurator is online on Audi Deutschland > Startseite
The fully equipped 3.0 TFSI will push the cost to 95,000 EUR. The base price is around 58,600 EUR.
    The 95,000 Euro includes:
    - 6,000 B&O
    - 2,250 special leather
    - 2,000 air suspension
    - 2,000 night vision
    - 2,500 MMI plus (touch)
    - 2,000 Adaptive cruise with stop and go / side assist / pre safe
    - 2,000 20" wheels
    - 2,500 comfort seat
    - 1,800 LED head light
The option that I never think it will be available is soft close door. I think it will be cheaper than this when some popular option will be available as a package in the future. :eusa_pray

I don't want to imagine how much S7 will cost.

    Me. thank you!

(AND as klier stated and I proved, the A7 is not competing with the 5GT. The BMW is much larger and IMO much better looking.)
  19. K-A Banned

The Bimmer is definitely much more spacious, but boy is it not better looking to me.

5'er GT gets ugliest car of the year award from me, even MORE than the Pana! Congrats to it. :t-cheers:

    :D

Seriously though, I'd take the A7 over the 5GT without even a thought, and I don't even like the A7.

Overdosed on your arrogance pills again, klier?

Sue me if ultimate legroom didn't make it onto my list of product evaluation criteria. This is what did:

BMW 5er GT sits between 5er and 7er.
    Audi A7 sits between A6 and A8.

The BMW 5er GT is a 5 door, luxury fastback.
The Audi A7 is a 5 door, luxury fastback.

The BMW 5er GT is 4.9m long
The Audi A7 is 4.9m long

BMW calls the 5er GT a gran turismo
Audi calls the A7 a gran turismo

The BMW 5er GT has a big boot and is lauded by its maker for its "practicality".
The Audi A7 has a big boot and is lauded by its maker for its "practicality".

The BMW 5er GT has a choice of 3.0 litre, 6 cylinder petrol and diesel engines. Plus a V8.
The Audi A7 has a choice of 3.0 litre, 6 cylinder petrol and diesel engines. Minus a V8 (which in TDI V8 guise is a probability in all likelihood).

BMW has endowed the 5er GT with some "unique styling features" like frameless doors to differentiate the car from the rest of the range.
Audi has endowed the A7 with some "unique styling features" like frameless doors to differentiate the car from the rest of the range.

Of course there are differentiators - that's the whole point behind differentiation - the BMW's emphasis is on rear passenger comfort and space, the Audi's is on a sleeker, more dynamic silhouette. Bigger differences have not precluded different cars from being directly compared in the past. And, I'm quite certain that a forced induction, direct injection petrol six cylinder A7 will be priced very similarly to a forced induction, direct injection petrol six cylinder BMW 5er GT. The BMW's "London Taxi-Cab" approach to interior space aside, these are two very similar cars in concept in my opinion, dare I say.
