Nice job. The first Audi interior I really like. I'd rather the CLS but this is a worthy competitor in the looks department. (y)

Absolutely dislike. I was expecting something much more exciting. And I was defending of what Rickfrombelgium was saying.

I regret, seriuosly, this look like those old VW hatchbacks.

    A larger version of 4-door A5?

People can stop complaining about the Panamera's rear design and side profile now, I guess. ;)

You're right. The ass end of the Panamera for me was the most disliked, but now this takes that title.

JEEZ...WT-F AUDI. Can you at least TRY to f__king come up with new designs? I'm very disappointed.

CLS by a mile. This is an A8 (stretched A4) with an ugly ass hatch. The interior is the only nice thing about it.

Well it's nothing more or less than expected.
I like the R8 style low wide front, the side profile
at least looks coupish. Interior, flawless.

Didn't like the first CLS one bit, now it looks
like it will be stunning, A7 stunning, Gran Coupe
stunning for a sedan but still don't see the 'coupe'
    in grand coupe.

What a good choice for anyone considering a
    sedan with sportier looks.

That's it? What a lackluster effort it seems. Audi may oughta start thinking about rehiring their -or just any- design department cause this sandwich is way past its best before date.

Even the interior seems very unaudish to me. Well, there's a hint of Audi but there's also hints of Jag (wood going boat like behind the dash), BMW(center console with the air cond/etc) and MB(the dash itself reminds of CLS thought that could just be all that wood! The profile reminds that of E-class'). What I'm trying to say that it's a mess.

Gee, the whole car is such a fail that better pictures must be able to redeem a lot.

The most exciting thing about this is the camouflage technology that's demonstrated in the picture with the white background, there's a mountain view through the glasshouse!

What in the name of god is that..looks like someone hunkering down to take a shit..

    And the front it generic..
And even the freakin interior is confusing..to much wierdness going on..
Reminds me of Jaguars big cat..whatever its called.XJ i think...

Hot, except for the rear, but even that is not so bad and much better than the Panamera one. The front is so much better than the A8. Thumbs up from me.

typical audi design language, clean and subtle, which translates into good-looking but expectable.

need to see more photos tho.

    FAIL.....Especially the rear:t-banghea

The rear shouldn't come as a surprise, especially when it was previewed with the Sportback concept. IMO, that's why it doesn't have that "wow" factor. And, yes, the styling motif has been done on other Audis, so that, too, doesn't help in the "wow" department. Just by looking at the four photos posted, it is a well-resolved styling exercised. The rear is much tauter than the Panamerica and evokes hatchback designs from Audi's past. Except the plastics trim around the HVAC and infotainment controls, the interior is beautifully trimmed and well-designed, but typical Audi, and thus kind of boring. And again, the interior was previewed in the Concept. I like it so far, but I need to see more hig-res pics to make an educated decision.

As a side note, I think the Panamera's rear wouldn't get so much criticism if Porsche had not previewed the Panamera in that fanciful sketch. That sketch made the Panamera look infinitely more sleeker than what we have now. That sketch raised expectations pretty high. But in defense of the Panamera, in black with the right wheels, it looks quite good, almost AM Rapide-like good.

EDIT: here's the Panamera sketch in question

Side, rear and inside are great. The front is a bit too conservative. I don't understand why Audi can't give the aggressive front of A1 to other model. :t-banghea:t-banghea

There is no surprise there, the concept car Audi unveiled a year ago was almost production ready, so the production version looked pretty much the same, except for the front end styling. Why did Audi feel the need to modify it? Now it looks like every other current Audi. In fact if you cover everything from the B pillar onwards, it will look just like any other Audi.

The interior design is a different from the usual Audi styling, but it isn't very original, there are hints of BMW and VW about the way the curve from the dashboard continues into the door trim.

What happened to the interior? It seems like a house fell on it.

I like it. A solid, stylish Audi. It's neither better, nor worse than what I've seen so far from the Gran Coupe or the new CLS.

Wow, so A7 is even more ugly than A8. Interior is a mixture of BMW 5 Series F10 and BMW Z4 E89, and that is exactly how the BMW 6 Series F13 is going to be. When it comes out people will say BMW copied Audi.
I though the Panamera was ugly, but compared to this it looks very good. Very funny. ONE CAR, THREE BADGES: Porsche Panamera, Audi A7, Lamborghini Estoque. Luckily Aston Martin (Rapide) does not belong to VAG.

    IMO:
    1. BMW 6 Series GranCoupé
    2. Mercedes CLS
    3. Porsche Panamera (if in the same category)
    4. Audi A7

As expected, and already been seen in those scooped pics from an Audi garage. Rear & side & interior carried from the A7 Concept with slight modifications, while front looks just like a flatter version of new A8. If this car is sporty & stylish, how sedated & ordinary the new A6 design will be? :eusa_thin I doubt they will make new A6 sportier & more stylish looking than this car. This looks like a fastback version of the new A6 or A8, while BMW 6-series Gran Coupe will be just a 6-series coupe with additional pair of door. So that makes CLS & Panamera much more exclusive & imposing design wise. Yet IMO 6-series Gran Coupe will still be the sleekest & most classic design in this particular segment. Do you agree?
