Didn't expect Audi to build this but thankfully they did. Slightly disappointed that the flared wheel arches didn't make it to the production version, otherwise this is one angry looking thing. Love those retro styled wheels. Might be testing the water to see if there is a market for such an expensive supermini. :t-hands: I see they are claiming the same acceleration figures as the bigger S3, no weight figures quoted though I can't believe it will be much different than the S3 then other than 30-40kg lighter.
It is relatively slow considering the power to weight ratio which sure will be better than Golf R and Audi S3
As far as I know, the S3 sprints 0-100 km/h in 5.1 seconds, whilte the A1 in 5.7. So, a but difference though.
OMG....I LOVE IT!!!!! The A1 itself is ok at best (I like the Polo better), but this thing here is just brilliant. Changes the car completely and for the better!! Sick. And fantastic specs... Only one but: the price will be around 60-65k euro here in my country
This car is amazing... BUT it will be as heavy as an elephant... 5.7sec is slow for a car that should be lighter/faster than the S3... it's Audi's "RS1" not S1 But I really don't care that much because that's my new favorite Audi after the R8 :icondrool
Yeah it is funny which makes me think either it's weight isn't that great considering it's size or they are being very conservative with it's performance figures. Given that it's torque remains unchanged and it's HP is only 9 less that's why taking it's acceleration at face value it's weight difference must be small. I know the TTS is capable of this but didn't think the S3 could as well, are you sure about this?

^ Must be the conditions. In perfect condition the S3 does 0-100 km/h in 5.7 seconds. That's what Audi states too for the 6MT. 5.1 secs is definitely way too fast...
That sounds very poor don't you think, the one car that is equipped with awd posting identical times to those fwd ones.
