The best thing BMW can do to save it is make the 5GT go away. Not only will they save the 5GT, they'll save us from having to look at it.

But it was done very hush hush, I got the shock of my life when I saw it in the flesh a few weeks ago.
I am currently in HK and I can honestly say the 5GT is popular here, I see more of them than the 3 series. Some owners actually modify them with after market wheels and bumper extension
It's existence. I'm on here almost every weekday and I can't recall ever reading (let alone seeing photos) of the 5 GT M-Package. But thank you for clarifying things. -- It looks a bit better, especially in the rear! I think it would have looked better if the front were more aggressive to match the angry look of its headlights, but who cares.. I ain't buying one.
I always have and still like the 5 GT. IRL it has a distinctive presence, real attractive face and the frame less side glass ads to the occasion. The cabin and the quality of the materials rival that of the F01 7er. It's an X6, just lower more posh and very practical. The 6 GC actually brings into focus that the 5 GT plays a distinctive roll in the BMW lineup, it's unique and basically a standalone model for discerning buyers. And that is IMO
