What a disaster. Horrible eyebrows in the headlights and those ridiculous round air vents in a very boxy interior. It seems Mercedes can't stop putting round airvents in their cars. Quite possible Mercedes Benz have the worse design team in Europe. Shameful
I actually like this facelift. The front looks good in both the regular and AMG packs, and I generally like the interior. Official press release and high resolution pictures should be available in the next few hours.
It was bad before the facelift, and some how they managed to make things worse by adding those awful headlamps. MB's design department is really going through a bad funk these days. I just hope they're on point with S class.
Considering the original product, I think this facelift looks great inside and out. Now we're going to get 302hp V6 and the 201hp diesel for the U.S. market. The GLK should now be able to sell better. The new look is a major improvement. M
Interior is definitely a step up, but the exterior still seems off. The front looks worse, and the rear reminds me of the previous gen Jeep Grand Cherokee. The side has one too many character lines.

MERCEDES!! PLEASE stop putting those horrible lights on more vehicles!! The SL and now this are ENOUGH! I hope to god the new cars won't get them (CL, S class, E class facelift). But now I'm really starting to worry
Nothing can save this hideous beast. For what I expect of M-B, this design is an embarrassment, always has been. From another manufacturer, I certainly wouldn't like it (hate compact SUV's), but wouldn't criticize it so heavily. The front looks not only not better to me (yet, as I haven't done a good comparison), but disjointed. I worry about the Design Teams ability to grasp "cohesion". You CAN NOT take a very angular/square car, and "weld on" a front end with organic shapes, though they didn't go too far on this with the GLK facelift, they show signs that they are going further and further on it with facelifted cars from the angular design idiom. Not only does it make one of the "2 areas" of the car look off and dated compared to the other, but it makes it look like you're looking at two different cars. I have a bad feeling they're gonna go even further with this on the E-Class facelift. I'm also upset that M-B has stopped designing simple/timeless "good looking" headlights, to try and outfashion everyone else with "distinctive" headlights that just look so ever-tried, desperate, and overwrought. It's like they're desperately trying to out-do Audi in the "headlight game" because they were late to the party. This isn't a serious "upset" to me, as the original GLK was already one, so it just furthers my disappointment.
The AMG-Pack is a must Looks so bad in standard trim... It was ugly... it's still ugly but at least more interesting Mercedes-Benz - The King of Headlamps
Uggh, another manbrow headlamps. They seriously need to stop spoiling every car with those horrible headlights. CLS was the last MB with a good looking face.
Why am I the only one to spot a facelifted G-Class hanging out behind the GLK Facelift in one of the press shots? View attachment 11379
hmmm...basically i think that the car is a kind of less consistent. The front and the cockpit which were once cubic are now rounded, but the rest is still cubic, so i think that the previous model was more consistent. For example: if we see the hood, window frames, side and rear of the line there is all still cubic, but then the headlights + grille are round .... also inside: cube-like door panels, cube-like display&counter ''roof'', cubic center console, but then we got curved transverse wooden strip with a circular (?) vents ... !! As I said, for individual the new details are looking realy great, but together as a whole there's not so much harmony anymore. Just my opinion. + the backlights are just toooooo much 'Legend'-ish! :
Mercedes needs to stop with fugly headlights. I understand they need to create a familiar headlight to all of the segments, just like BMW "Angel eyes", but this proposal is wrong.
