Well those initial media reports are correct until Mercedes's spin doctors got to work. The C class sedan, coupe, and the "E" coupe all share the same wheelbase. tennmb sums it up when he said Gone are they days when each car has its own specific platform and components, which means there is a bit of C in the E, and a bit of E in the C. The design might be different to trick the average buyer, but we know better than that.
And I remember the good old days of C and E. YouTube - Church of Ectacy - Crucify the Acid (Oooweee I am Ready) 1992

I like it, but I can't but help think the Black Series will look much better. There is something missing here, but its still a really good looking car. M
Lol..I know what you mean. Personally I want everything...RS5, Mulsanne, S65, C63, CLS63, 650i, CL63 AMG, R8.
Hard decision. The M3 is already old. The RS5 is about to get a FL, and the C63 won´t stay here more than 4 years or so. I´d go for the BS.
What is missing is in the lower third of the vehicle, specifically the relationship of the tire [sizes] and the rest of the body. This is where an M3 or an RS5 excels. Tires on the Merc are skinnier, appear too inward of the body, and are much smaller in relationship to not only the height of the vehicle, but also the amount of body surface on the side. These are key design issues car designers consider when fleshing out a sporty car model.
Yeah the timing is bad. We don't get the RS5 until next year sometime after the facelift. I don't think a Black Series would make a good daily driver. I could go for a S5 before the facelift since Audi will most likely drop the V8 with the facelift. Love the M3, but as you state its old. The timing couldn't be worse lol. M
^ I don't know, I remember a few tests where the CLK63 BS was praised by having a better ride than the M6.
Come on Marcus, its still one of the best allround performance sportscar in the world. You would be very happy with a M3.
