Hahaha..You're right guys! I almost forgot about it.:D
Even thought he is their Step Grandpa from other blood-line, he deserves the title. Long live G-Class! ;)

Coz the Grandpa title belongs to the G-Class, this GL must be his new & rich wife, with the Q7 is his mistress. Wow, grandpa's new heart must be great..:D
Hahaha.. LOL Beemer, do you dare to flog their mom? She might crush on us with her fat and wider ass plus twin power engine..hahaha j/k:D

Yes Klier, the X3 is their new star at the moment, coz daddy is starting to get old, and mommy needs to be facelifted soon.
If the X4 has been born, the family member will be super complete from every segment. Wow!

I guess I'm just not into the X line as much as many of you. I think the X5 is one of the best looking in it still, although it is starting to show its age amongst the rest. The X6 is seriously one of the ugliest things I've ever seen. Was staring at one today, and couldn't believe how unattractive the shapes, and designing is on it. The X1 is a little funky (I guess appropriate though, for what it is). New X3 probably the best looking of the bunch IMO, but the greenhouse is a little sloppy and lacking in edge, and kind of gives it an unappealing look to me.

Guess I just had to be Negative Nancy in this partay. :D

I'm with you on this KA. The X1 in fact I find to be the ugliest of the bunch. And dare I say were it not carrying the BMW badge a lot of members here would say the same thing. The rear is satisfying enough, the profile is attractive, but the front end is almost like a charicature of a 'regular' BMW design. The drooping headlights and snout are just overboard. The X3 is probably the most attractive overall, though I am yet to see it in person, and I feel the details are poor compared to the X5 which is a classically attractive BMW design Job overall and in detail. I just dont get some of the new headlights and grills BMW is using.

Human. I felt terrible for typing that and then hours later seeing your post about your X1. :eusa_doh: My apologies mate. In my defence your X1 is pretty loaded and subsequently pretty good looking. (y)

Okay, I'll retract my statement a bit. Human has good taste, so I will give a pass to HUMANS X6 and X1. :D :D

The X1 I feel like I haven't even seen much (if any, or just haven't bothered to pay attention) in person, so my opinion isn't very strong toward it either way. Now the X6, that's the one that's made such an impression on me.

That would probably be because BMW has delayed its release over here. :(

On a recent quick trip back home to Australia I went to my local BMW dealer to check out the X1. As mentioned, it doesn't carry the X-family genes, but at the same time it isn't simply a raised-up 1er hatch. It definitely looks more aggressive and sporty in person than many of the photos portray. It may not be to everyone's liking, but then again, it wasn't meant to be a safe n' sound looking mini-X5.

Some design aspects are a little quirky and could have been further refined, but I'm sure once it makes its way State-side it'll sell very well just as it has done across the Pond.

At this time I really do not know what to make of the X1. I have mixed feelings. Sometimes I think it was a good idea to make, sometimes I don't. I do find it attractive, and I won't say it is ugly. I just don't know how well it fits into the X line. :t-hands:

I'm sure in due time, though, I will learn to love it but right now I can't really say how I feel other than I have mixed feelings about it.

Wow, I had no idea! Now that makes sense. I think it would do really well out here as well. America is moving into smaller cars kind of (a great thing, although, I will always love and drive relatively large cars!), so it could be a hit. Although, it must be TINY, considering how small the X3 (new one seems much better sized though), and GLK are little mini-SUV's already.

That X3 Geneva show car is simply off the hook !!

Gorgeous color. And those rims are very interesting: An evolution of the 5 split-spoke BMW Performance Package rim available for the 1 and 3 series cars. I actually prefer the original PP rim, sans the titanium colored inlays.

In fact a 20" or 21" version of the PP rim would look absolutely smashing on the new 6 series.

    Game, set and match.

X3 is back where it belongs, on top of the segment.

BTW, this is the 258 hp version 3.0d right? Or the 245 hp version?

    No hard feelings Mr. M:t-cheers:

Honestly, my wife works hard and contributes in such a way that she got what she asked for - an X1. That said, I was not sold on the X1 from launch. Yet the car has grown on me indeed and seeing/comparing it against the competition in a parking area etc. one realizes that BMW somehow just got it spot-on! The car is fresh, funky and sporty and from some angles has a kind of 'fastback/shooting brake' look (maybe I am dreaming LOL) and yet has premium presence in a parking lot. Thus the car has grown on me in such a way that I love the car and its pure dynamic pleasures + absolutely stunning i4 TT diesel engine.:)

PS: I have driven the new X3 2.0d and will never trade the X1 for an X3 2.0d....maybe for a 35i petrol X3;)

Wow that X3 :icondrool :bowdown: BMW has definitely the best SAV/SUV lineup, every car so hot though they all have got a completely different styling, not any copy n paste jobs here. These all are among the few SUVs that I'd dare to own.

The truth is that the all the BMW SUVs with the M Pack are almost unbeatable, this X3 in particular, has the nicest face I´ve seen in a long while on an SUV.

And I thought the Q5 S-Line looked nice...

It's the 258 hp version, moron!
