Just saw the X3 at the BMW dealer, really is so much better than before its a real BMW now. Pricey though at 52K loaded...wow. BMWs cost more than Mercedes now, can't remember seeing a GLK ever that expensive. The X3 is just the right size though and the interior is real BMW now.

No joke. It always felt like the X3 was the non-qualifying BMW with an asterisk next to its name. Glad they got it right this time around... At least - as right as one can get in this segment.

Found these two parked right outside my house this morning

Nice catch buddy! Thanks for posting them.

The car looks very good, especially the rear. The headlights definitely need the Xenons and LED rings to really bring that angry expression to life!
Also, those smaller wheels (17's ?? ) don't look bad either. I imagined they would give the car a hideously top-heavy over-weight appearance, but they do the job fine.

Nice road with four BMW:s in a row :D And nice catch too, I've seen one driving around the city here too, looks really good.

As all-round packages go, the new X3 is far and away the best car in its class.

Yes! I seriously can't believe there is a BMW model (that cost's at least 50,000 euros in my country for the base engine, no less) that doesn't have angle eyes standard in 2011!!

Good find bombardier...but there's just one problem. That's a cut-n-paste job of the new X3, and that photo wasn't shot in the snow. All photoshoped..so it's a tad difficult to gauge whether each vehicle is to scale.

Here's an older photo showcasing the X5 and X6...but again, the backdrop is photosopped in, and I'm guessing again the vehicles are somewhat photoshopped together.

This photo on the other hand is genuine, but unfrotunately it features the OLD X3...but it gives an idea of how the X-family look.

BMW has a really handsome SUV lineup. Next to the X3, the X1 now looks little and goofy, but funky. The X3 with the M-pack is going to be hella expensive.

The X3 looks surprisingly attractive. BMW has the strongest SUV lineup of any premium company.

Agreed Marcus...but then again, that was kinda the point of the X1.. be a bit funky, youthful and different to its siblings. I guess sales in Europe show that goofy & funky are key ingredients in making hotcakes. In fact, looking at the X1, it carries very little design elements that the X3 and X5 share as common 'X' elements. The only thing I can see is the fog lights being placed under the headlights rather than within the air intakes of the lower bumper.

Now that we can properly compare the new X-lineup, IMO the X1 really does feel like a cross-over version of the 1 series hatch (duh!) similar in vain to what Audi and Volvo do with cross-overs of their wagon variants.

Looking at the difference in shape between the X5 and X6, you can easily envision what a possible X4 might look like..and such a vehicle would look less bulky than the X6.

    Thanks Beemer! (y)
You're right, i had suspicion on it since the first time i saw, it seems a bit odd and looks unnatural but never mind, now we have the real one.:D

    WOW! They're a gorgeous!(y)
Like a family, the X5 is the Father - a macho and handsome guy, the X6 is their Mom - beautiful, shorter (in height), wider and fatter (coz already gave birth 2 children, and 1 is on the way - their new sister X4), the X3 is the big brother - handsome like his father and more serious, and the X1 is their little brother - youth & funky. :D Do they still have the Grandpa on the plan - the X7?

    Agree with you.;)

Nah,... we'll leave the Granny and Grandpa stuff for MB with their GL-class! :D ;)

Hey bombardier, if the X6 is the Mother, then it's a real MILF: Mother I'd Love to Flog! (hey come on! get your head out of the gutter guys!! seriously ;) )

As a member of the MB Society, we'll accept the Grandpa honor for the G-Class gladly lol.

^^^ Yeah, the G is the grandpa of every German SUV. And after a few heart transplants, it's still alive and kicking :D

As for the pics of the X cars together.....For me it's safe to say that right now, from the current line up, I like the new X3 the best of them all.
It just looks great from every angle. X5 is getting a bit old.
