Not bad at all. I see some sound characteristics similar to the E46 M3. Definitely sounds much better than the run-of-the-mill x35 on aftermarket exhausts.

Andre rocks. We have a new Flying Dutchman. Or should that be Drifting Dutchman. What's also so terrific is that he really and genuinely loves the 1M.

Yeah, I still remember what he said one year ago about BMW M :D

Side By Side Photo-1 M Coupe and 135i

I never saw many side by side comparison photo's of the 1 M Coupe and the donor platform 135i. Here is a shot of both cars. Thanks. PalBay

    Thx for al responses.

I am real real happy with my 1M. I am glad Bmw M has made a smaller more nimble car for drivers who like more agile cars to throw around corners. I was a bit concerned about the Turbo. But all i can say ///M did a fantastic job with this engine. You can steer the car on throttle and balance it on throttle. Before the 1M i have never driven a turbo engine which could do that like the 1M can. Also the new M5 can do that. Turbo engines are not like the old days anymore. The 135i which i had earlier had to much lag to balance the car that s why i sold it so fast. I am enjoying driving the 1M a lot. My words don't do it justice just watch my 1M movies on my youtube.

Nice. A 20.6km would make it at what? 8.07?
  13. EMpower Well-Known Member

Its 20.8 km or 12.93 miles. 7:45 for 11.9 miles so full lap should be 8:24, right? although some sites say that it takes 25 to 30 seconds more for the extra mile.

A complete lap with a 1M is about 24 sec extra.

Nice Vid Andre. It would be great to see an additional camera showing your footwork, perhaps in your future videos ;)

Also seems like you have replaced your seats (M3 GTS seats?) and steering (BMW performance?). Please do post some pics of your 1M if possible.

Thanks for yet another superb video Andre, have you competed in races on the Nurburgring or thinking of doing so? There is this section on the track where my friends and I find it very difficult to get it spot on when we were driving on it in GT5 (we don't have your balls) it is from 2:13 to 2:16 when you arrive at the slight left bend with a small crest, after gunning down the long straight. how fast were you going into that bend, was it easy to control when the back end slide out a little? I have seen videos of people going off the track at that point, it looked deceptively harmless but it seems to unsettle the car far more than expected, both in real life and in the game.

I think i was entering the corner about 200km. That corner is always a bit hairy. It s not easy to catch a car at very high speed but you need to be fast real fast with counter steering.

^+1. It takes real skill to explore the greatness BMW engineer into the chassis but when you have said skill you reach a point of ecstasy and a truer sense of appreciate for their effort.

Keep it up and keep posting your vids, oh and most of all keep safe my friend. (y)
