Audi is developing the RS 6 to be sold as both sedan and Avant in Europe, as shown here in both sedan and Avant guise. If the car does come to the USA, something that hasn’t yet been determined, expect it in sedan form only. Audi product planners see the romance of the Avant, but sales of the C5 S6 were so lackluster that a business case is very hard to make for such a vehicle. Also spotted in those wintry climes was an interesting looking Q7. With a dull color and factory 20-inch wheels, the car might easily blend in with the scenery, though taking a closer look suggests this to be a development mule of the upcoming Q7 V12 TDI. Note especially the front fascia of the SUV, similar to that of the Q7 V12 TDI design study shown in Detroit last January. Also of great interest is the gargantuan set of ceramic brakes squeezed behind those 20-inch wheels. Next Generation Audi RS 6 and Q7 V12 TDI Caught Cold-Weather Testing M
It seems that Audi is determined to blow away the competition with the RS6. George Achorn heard from his Audi connections that the output will be close or over 600 hp. Of course that's only a rumor for now.
its the same rumour that been floating around almost a year now. Every rumour says the same Bi-turbo and 582hp.
A biturbo V10 might also mean that RS6 won't have a good weight distribution. Two turbos + intercoolers ect. will make it front heavy.
Would you guys believe that i'm more excited about V12 TDI in R8 than the whole RS6 thing? Yes, believe it... You know i'm a diesel freak! ... :t-cheers:

I fear the addition of twin turbos to the v10 will give the RS6 horrible weight distribution, an attribute that certainly will not help it dethrone the M5.
